Atelier Annie Officially Announced For North America

By Spencer . July 6, 2009 . 10:56am

ateanniGamefly’s listing was right on the money, NIS America will release Atelier Annie in North America here this fall.

Atelier Annie will be the first Atelier game on the DS in North America since NIS America will not be publishing Atelier Lise. In Atelier Annie you have three (game time) years to build a resort, which makes this game a unique mix of a Club Med sim and an alchemy RPG.

Hmm… NIS America continues to publish Gust titles…

Is that a Rorona hint I see?

Either way, excellent news, even though it's something NISA has hinted at for a while. No Lise because of the bugs?
• Volcynika
Omg I am so surprised!!11

/might actually get this!

Also "NIS America is continues to publish" ? :p
• LOL I thought I fixed that before it went live.
• Lacan
What about Rorona?. I thought that NISA would give us an official date at the AX 2009

As far as I know NISA has an agreement with Gust in order to publish their games in Western Shores but i´m not too sure.

Btw: Here's hoping the best for localization!
• I've said this on Siliconera many times, but we've been mentioning Atelier Rorona for a reason...
• Cool. As expected. Will buy. I <3 Gust.
• BlackFreefall
I want this game.
• squall3031
I want ATelier Lise too!! stupid NIS!
• SpaceDrake
Atelier Lise was a buggy piece of kladdkaka that was universally reviled in Japan, even moreso than old stinker Atelier Judie was. Trust me, you don't want Lise. It never came over for a reason.
• Volcynika
Wasn't it eventually nicknamed "Atelier Freeze"?

:p

"Hmm… NIS America continues to publish Gust titles…"

What's this about? Have you heard something?
• Perhaps, like I said I mentioned a certain PS3 game many times... I wouldn't do it without a reason.

Remember we hinted at Cross Edge coming over months before it was announced...

Oh, I read Siliconera quite frequently. I may have misunderstood the intent of that sentence.

I thought maybe it meant that Gust would possibly be finding another publisher or opening up their own US subsidiary. My apologies if that was misconstrued.
• My apologies too. It's hard to tell who is a long term reader with people using the name Anon or anonymous.

Gust isn't finding another subsidiary... so....
