Localized SHUFFLE! Releases August 15

MangaGamer’s SHUFFLE! localization is out now, and is available for download on their site (potentially NSFW). The game is priced at 36.95 euros, which is quite the sum for a digital download, but it’s in line with the rest of MangaGamer’s pricing (Da Capo, for instance, is 49.95 euros). Keep in mind these games are hard to license, now more so than ever, probably, thanks to the censorship talks in Japan.

Here’s what MangaGamer want you to know about the story:

In a certain complex of ruins, two gates have opened. On the other side lie the world of the Gods and the world of the Devils. These three worlds are now connected, and this causes a big change in society.

One day, two new families move into the houses neighboring Rin Tsuchimi’s house. The new residents turn out to be the King of the Gods and the King of the Devils. Both of them have moved in next to Rin’s house by request of their respective daughters, who fell in love with him at an early age.

The stage is set for a story that involves Rin’s childhood friend as well as others around him. It is a tale of hardship and despair, but also one of faint hope. It is a tale of a boy who, to quote his cynical friend, is capable of becoming either God, Devil or an ordinary man.

Now’s a good time to ask: We have the Anime Expo demos of Da Capo, Kira Kira and Suika A.S+ available to us…does anyone want to see any of them covered? If so, which ones?

Can you cover Kira Kira and Suika?

    Too bad it's by MangaGamers.

You'll be playing the entire thing in engrish.

Kira Kira was great. I could tell you about it, but I'm sure you'll dig it. It was worth the price that I paid for and I'm sure other might be interested.

As for Shuffle, I have no idea what I'm getting into (only saw one episode), so I'm hoping to hear a little more about this title as well. It looks interesting.

It's weird. Very weird. Yet… addicting, in a way. One of the rare times I basically agree with the series review written on anime news network. It doesn't really spoil anything, so try to read that if you don't mind learning a bit about the anime. Not sure how closely it adheres to the visual novel, as I don't know Japanese and I don't really import.

  • Tye The Czar

Surely they've upped the characters ages as to not incur the wrath of that God-awful PROTECT Act. Not that I like jailbait, mind you. If it's fantasy, then it's all riiiight.(BTW Lolicons suck)

    color me somewhat interested.

I'm playing through the Kira Kira demo right now, and yea…

Will get it when I´ve looked trough my funds for a long time and can decide what game I have to ignore for the time being.

And with my dreams of rebuilding my comp I still can´t play it untill late October so. I guess I won´t be getting it now.

But I´ve waited and longed for this title, so I´m really really happy about it. What I won´t be happy about are probably the sequells that might be released as well…

All this article did was make me want to listen to “Shuffle” by My Little Lover.

And for some reason, I can't find it on any of the music listening sites…this is going to bug me for the rest of the day.
