Atlus Acquires Gonzo Rosso As Part Of Expansion Effort

Gonzo Rosso Online KK — an online content distribution company — was, until some time ago, part of the GDH group, which also owns the GONZO anime studio. In July earlier this year, GDH was delisted from the Tokyo stock exchange due to their financial liabilities exceeding their assets and as a result, have decided to exit the online games business.

As of this week, Gonzo Rosso is a subsidiary of Atlus, who acquired the company as part of an aggressive ongoing effort to expand their business into the Asian markets. Gonzo Rosso already handles publishing of online games in Malaysia and Singapore. They even published a Tower of Druaga MMO and another interesting one named Pandora Saga.
