Nintendo Offering WiiWare Demos Today

Today marks the debut of Nintendo’s demo test program, which they hope will help boost sales of WiiWare games. The first batch of demos is actually a pretty good line-up of games: World of Goo, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, Bit. Trip Beat, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord and Pokémon Rumble.

Strange that they’d put World of Goo up there but omit LostWinds; both games seem to enjoy a similar level of popularity on WiiWare. Replacing Pokémon with a Monkey Island demo would have been nice, too.

YUS~! Finally a Bit.Trip Beat demo! This’ll be very handy for friends who have heard my rantings about that game, but want to try it before plunking down the $5. =P

Ok, and this is worthy of being news? Seriously Isshan, the only thing that makes this news is that Nintendo didn’t get with the program 3 years ago like the competition. Every single XBLA game has a playable demo and always has.

    • Yeah, totally. The list of demos is news. Perhaps, some readers missed out on World of Goo, My Life as a Darklord or NyxQuest and they want to give them a go. I haven’t played NyxQuest so I’ll at least try now that there’s a demo.

Actually that one is worth buying. So is Castlevania if Konami and Nintendo ever get the damn thing out.

Yes this is still worthy news. I didnt know about this until I read it here so I thank him for this.
You sound annoyed with Nintendo but are taking out on the writer of this article not good.
