Hideo Kojima’s Meeting With Type-Moon

Zepy over at Canned Dogs happened upon an interesting post on the Kojima Productions blog, and wrote up a handy translation. It seems Hideo Kojima was lucky enough to enjoy a meal with Type-Moon earlier in the week, and get their autographs, too. Kojima writes on the KojiPro blog:

Yesterday, introduced via Ishii Jirou from Chunsoft, I managed to get a chance to have a meal with the two gentlemen from TYPE-MOON, Nasu Kinoko and Takeuchi Takashi.

The meeting only lasted for a short while, but the meeting was pure enjoyment and I have not had something like that in a while.

It was the first time we met but I felt like we had already known each other for a long time, I felt a kind of affinity that was like deja vu.

It’s a special privilege that only creators have. Even when age or race are completely different, we can still understand each other instantly when we have the same “smell”.

You know, love clearly bloomed on the battlefield in Fate/Stay Night, so perhaps they aren’t so different, like Kojima says. (Last time I use that joke, sorry.) You can read the rest of the post on Zepy’s blog.

    Kojima Productions/Type-Moon joint project imminent?

As long as it isn´t a sneaking game it would be pretty interesting.

        What’s that supposed to mean?

        • http://otoboku.se manga

Simple: I do not like sneaking around.

Basing a game where the gameplay is about sneaking up on your opponent without beeing seen is not a game for me or gameplay that I like.

It is as simple as that.

Given the interesting personalities that Kojima has created in MGS or the nice mecha framework and action filled Zone of the Enders, to mix that with the awesomeness that is Type-Moon would be glorious.

As long as there isn´t any sneaking around as part of the game.

Nasu + Kojima = most convoluted and huge yet weirdly compelling fictional universe among any series ever

  • Cloud_ST

Wow,so even guys like Kojima are fans.

  • meganeshounen

Nasu handling the writing, Takeuchi handling the art, and Kojima handling the overall directing?

Hmm… a magecraft/thaumaturgy/mecha game with legendary references? Think Nitro+’s Demonbane, but set in the Nasuverse…

It’s so crazy, it might just work.
