Yakuza 4, like the other Yakuza games before it, has mini-games. Kiryu can play pool, head to a casino, relax at a cabaret club, and sing karaoke.

    I’m not too familiar with the series, but is the school girl a regular character? If not, it would be interesting to see the yakuza go head-to-head with idols.

      She should be. I can’t really tell for 100% because they changed the way she looks in Yakuza 3.

    Funny how the Karaoke was the main thing that made me decide that I wanted to buy Yakuza 3. >.> He just looked so passionate with it.

      Let it rip Kiryuu-san! Nothing more manly than a hot blooded macho man singing enka, that’s the model “otoko” :) Even though it’s kind of old school, there are quite a few enka songs I like, one of my favorites was in ep 4 of Evangelion when Shinji was about to leave Tokyo3 by train, sung by the awesome Okui Masami. Can’t wait till Yakuza 3′s here.

    The graphics look really good. Yakuza always had good mini games, there’s always so many things you can do and for most you would never know unless you run into a random person or go in to a random store. I remember Don Quixote and Suntory like it was yesterday. ^_^

    Does this mean Sega will be licensing real songs for the karaoke bar, or will they be making original ones specifically for the game?

    I buy Yakuza games for the level design, storyline, and mini games. The beat em up gameplay is kindof, eh, it’s okay, but the storyline, world, and mini games are just awesome.

    the Yakuza series is awesome! I cant wait until we get 3. Those screens of Kiryu singing are hilarious, I am imagining him singing Loser by Eikichi Yazawa (which I am listening to right now).
