Summon Night Granthese Trailer Summoned

Flight Plan’s next project and possibly the last PlayStation 2 RPG for Japan is a 3D Summon Night game. Deviating from the core Summon Night series, Summon Night Granthese is an action RPG.

Summon Night Granthese: Sword of Ruin and the Knight’s Promise is an action RPG where you can summon monsters for help! The game has two playable characters Lost, a swordfighter, and Millet who has a gun.

Summon Night Granthese is scheduled for March 11, 2010 in Japan. Considering the state of the PlayStation 2 here, it’s probably too late to bring this game overseas.

  • we are screwed…. atlus makes crazy stuff, but releasing this one will be too much, all we can hope is they release summon night X

  • Hraesvelgr

Atlus is probably about the only company that’d get this, but I doubt even they’ll bother with it. It doesn’t look to be much of a loss, though… *whistles inconspicuously*On a related note, are they running out of silly names for main characters? First “Nine” in Last Rebellion and now “Lost” in this? Sheesh.

I want this one bad, it’s like EX Thesis (which I loved) version 2.0 and it has Nakata George to top it off.

    • *________* yes i noticed nakata-san tooo ! ftw!

  • Trotmeister

At this point there are more ARPGs than TRPGs in the series, so it doesn’t really deviates that much.

  • O__O i really liked it , oh precious Ps2 i still have so many Rpgs to finish «« ….. Atlus , XD i beg you bring this !

  • wharcraff

The game looks great. Has that Crystal bearers/Dark cloud 2 vibe to it with the 3d action elements. It definitely isn’t going to show up in the western hemisphere however. Bamco is pretty much closing shop on that front when it comes to the Playstation 2 and its many customers.

i think im hearing things but in the trailer it sound like he said PS3

    • cowcow

lol sounded like that to me too

I’d love to see several Summon Night games localized that we don’t already have, though at the moment, I think I’d prefer Sacred Blaze, but I doubt that’ll ever happen either.
