As usual, Namco is the king of DLC.

I mean, I could understand 5$ for a costume pack, but 3$ for each costume? That’s actually slightly more ridiculous than a horse armor.

I guess japanese people must really like being scammed, because here in the west, people wanted to burn Bethesda in effigy when news of the content and price of the horse armor thing were announced. And sure enough, we got some properly priced DLC after the whole debacle. See, whining isn’t always useless.

    namco doesn’t deserve xenosaga : (
if it had been published by atlus or some such company, we’d probably still be getting sequels.
…or possibly still waiting on the first game to finish production…

  • vall03

    localization pls…

  • mikhal

    “Raven – Kazuma from Tekken”

I think you meant Heihachi Mishima.

    • supermarius

aww, you beat me to it!

  • Soma

    Hahaha!
I think it’s almost worth the $3 per costume just to have Karol as Klonoa and Patty as Mr. Driller.
    Hilarious! XD

Dammit. We better be getting these…

    • Nekobo

You mean we better be getting the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia in the US, period. :(Ugh, so cute…I’d actually bite on some of these outfits.

Everytime I see a Vesperia image on the front page I instantly think “OMG VESPERIA NORTH AMERICAN ANNOUNCEMENT!”…Then I read the headline and i’m like “Oh…wait it’s just talking about something else…Well that’s disappointing…”

    • Masengan

I know right… The costumes still look great, I think I would buy the KOS-MOS one.

  • Hraesvelgr

I wonder how much money Namco has made ripping people off like this…

But hey, if people are buying these, it’s their own fault, really.

    • 831Son

Critiquing other people’s spending habits? Let people buy what they want.

I could say buying and watching anime is a ripoff and a waste of time and money considering you can just go to Wikipedia and read the episode/movie summaries there.

      • Joanna

or you could just watch them for free. mwhahahah :3

      • Hraesvelgr

I’m not stopping people from buying what they want. It has more to do with the fact that lots of people (importers) complain about Namco releasing these costumes, yet they end up buying them anyway.

You can’t really compare 300JPY per one costume to buying anime, games or whatever else might strike your fancy, either. Besides, wikipedia’s summaries are generally too brief to be of any use, and I’d argue that most anime isn’t worth buying, let alone watching. But that’s me.

  • Kuza21

Hmmm. I wonder…Was this game any good? :-/

    • malek86

Apparently it was, but I wouldn’t really know. I’ve been trying to find a PAL copy at low price, but unlike Eternal Sonata this one still costs at least 45 euro a whole seven months after release.

      • Masengan

I tried to get Eternal Sonata for the PS3 but it’s nowhere near my city let alone state… I didn’t know it was so rare.

        • http://denpanosekai.blogspot.com denpanosekai

          It’s called eBay.

  • http://several-hours-into-the-game.blogspot.com/ Nika

    And I’m sold again.
Damn you Namco, and damn me for my being such a sucker for costumes…
