Hatsune Miku Sings In No More Heroes 2

By Ishaan . February 7, 2010 . 1:01pm

Didn’t see this one coming. No More Heroes was already the ultimate videogame personification of otaku culture, which is what made it so entertaining. Turns out Grasshopper managed to outdo it with No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle anyway.

Reader Denpa no Sekai recently wrote in to give us a heads up that Hatsune Miku sings a small portion of the song in the Bizarre Jelly 5 shoot ‘em up mini-game in NMH2. You can listen to it in the video above — I believe her bit starts around 2:03. If you’re wondering what Bizarre Jelly 5 is, it’s the second season of this moe mecha-magical-girl anime Travis is obsessed with. You can read more about it here and here.

Thanks for the tip, denpa!

And everyone thought that a moe mecha-magical-girl anime was over the top and then BAM!, Strike Witches comes out.

  • Neat! Nice way to make something even more otaku-ish haha. I really really need to play this series..

  • superdry

This song totally needs to be Project Diva 2! Beyond awesome. I should pick this game up soon…the first one was enjoyable

  • Vino (Tim N)

Thats bloody awesome. I am glad I’m an otaku xD

    • Makes you feel all warm and tingly, doesn’t it? :D

  • Except that it’s been in the original No More Heroes Darkside album that was out almost two years ago. I know not everyone has had a chance to listen to it, but I was kind of disappointed to hear that most of the songs from it were used for a very large portion of the game, since I’ve already listened it to death at this point.

  • I-I was right?
