SNK Resume Neo Geo Repairs, Online Collection Complete Box Drops In Price

By Ishaan . February 28, 2010 . 3:50pm To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Neo Geo, SNK will be resuming repair operations on Neo Geo systems and peripherals. Note that this doesn’t include Neo Geo CD, Neo Geo CD-Z, Neo Geo Pocket or the Neo Geo Pocket Color. If you’re in Japan and interested (or maybe want to enquire if they’ll repair and ship your system overseas), head over to their repair inquiry page.

To coincide with this, there’s also a nice price-drop for the Neo Geo Online Collection Complete Box Vol. 1 for PS2 on The price is down from 9,980 to 5,549 yen. Vol.1 includes:

Fatal Fury: Battle Archives vol. 1

Fatal Fury: Battle Archives vol. 2

Garou: Mark of the Wolves Art of Fighting

Samurai Shodown Anthology (1-6)

Sunsoft Collection (Galaxy Fight & Waku Waku 7)

  • Too bad I sold my neo geo I dropped last year :O(

  • That’s pretty swell! Why don’t more companies release Box Sets? Like the Metal Gear Collection, that was neat. I wish video games were more like other entertainment media, like movies, music & books… where they don’t just die out after new games come out. Then again I guess it’s the nature of it all, with new consoles all the time.

If we got that box set in America I would buy two, just for Waku Waku 7 and Garou: MoTW.

Sadly this box set is a bit on the older side, and with the PS2 singing its swan song its not likely anyone would bring this over. Its a shame as I would love to have Mark of the Wolves on a system whos d-pad was not utter trash (Curse you 360 d-pad curse you!)

    • The best way to play GMotW is on a Dreamcast with a Ascii Fighter Pad :)
