Love Plus Picture App Announced for iPhone and iPad

By Ishaan . April 6, 2010 . 7:28am What’s the best way to make a phenomenon even bigger? By making it cheaper and more widely available of course! And that’s exactly what Konami are doing with LovePlus, with three iPhone / iPad apps priced at 600 yen ($6.30) each, that allow you to take commemorative photographs with each of the game’s three heroines.

The catch is that the photographs are augmented reality displays, which means you can take a picture of Nene Anegasaki standing in your room. The apps also include a calender, a voice clock and “other functions to offer entertaining communication.” At a later date, Konami plan to add some sort of event-based GPS functionality.

Thanks to Tim for the awesome tip!

Well, they already have their iProduct so what’s another $6.30?

Umm… the iPad doesn’t have a camera….. So what — you take your photos with something else (maybe a dedicated camera or camera-phone) then rig some way to get the photos to the device (SD Card reader attachment for 30 dollars? USB Attachment for 30 dollars? Compress and Email them to yourself? Get a NAS? Does this thing even see NAS? Exist in a complete mac universe and use, then you can drop a cut out onto the picture that you already took…? Its not going to appear in real time, because The Device Doesn’t Have a Camera~ You can do this same thing in Paint, and you don’t need an iPad for that. Please tell me I’m not the only one who realized this….
