Viz shot out a press release this past week, announcing the the first volume of Flower in a Storm is being published on May 4th. Seeing new shoujo series brought over is always interesting, so here’s a snippet from the PR: “Riko Kunimi is trying to lead a normal high school life when Ran Tachibana bursts into her classroom carrying a gun and tells her that her life is now his. Ran, who is the richest and most powerful 17-year-old in Japan, wants her as his wife, and he’s not taking no for an answer!

If Ran can’t capture her by five o’clock the next day, he’ll give up, but he has all that money can buy at his disposal. However, Riko has one trick up her sleeve—she has superpowers!”

Flower in a Storm will go on sale at the usual $9.99 in North America and $12.99 in Canada. I quite like the art, and humour is always a plus.

  • Viz has done pretty good so far, with its manga choices. It’s picking up some really good series. Kimi no Todoke and Dengeki Daisy were great choices, and this sounds promising too.

  • Any indication of when or if VIZ is going to release content on PSN? The EU/US comic viewer content is very anglocentric.
