A Whole Bunch Of Phantom of Inferno Media

By Ishaan . April 25, 2010 . 2:46pm

There isn’t much to say about the Phantom of Inferno remake except that it looks fantastic and Nitroplus are putting a ton of effort into development, going as far as to model all the firearms in the game in 3D, with the help of firearms experts, to ensure accuracy. The publisher recently put out a promotional video of the game, which you can check out above.

Gpara also have a large gallery of screenshots up on their website, so you can click over to have a look at those as well. Below are some of the character-specific ones.

    And I shall be sad that this will never be in English. Looks great though. If my Japanese was up to snuff I’d be picking it up for sure. Loved the anime.

    Hopefully someones able to translate this. It shouldn’t be too hard since the original was brought over and its gained I a bit of more popularity. I need to get my own ending and forget the craptastic anime one.

    isnt the Xbox practically dead in Japan? Whats the point of making Japanese games for a system that fails in Japan?

      - First: to make a game costs money, since the x360 internal structure is like a pc. It costs less to make a game for that platform.
      - 2: as you can guess, this genre won’t get many sales as it target public is not very big itself.
      - 3: Sony itself, for a game to be released on the ps3, it must qualified for some standard demands. One of them is there must be some kind of online play. As you may guess again, this game won’t probably go playing online.

      In short in all: company are still bureacratic money loving monkey, who won’t listen to their potential customures.

      (I cry at the thruth (~.~)

        Then there is still hope. Final Fantasy XIII has no online play which is a mainstream title. And also 3D Dot Game Heroes which is a niche game.

        Almost every single PS3 title I own doesn’t have any online features at all. So I’d say part of 3 is false. I know there is some standards Sony dictates, but online can’t possibly be one of them.

      The market for VNs in Japan is the 360… and the PSP, to some extent. The PC market is still their main audience, typically, but the 360 is pretty known for being the place for these types of games in Japan. Same with shmups.

    How many remakes are they going to do for this game? I remember at least 3 prior to this one. Hope they add some scenarios to it though. Some how I doubt this will ever get translated, official or otherwise, since there is already a English version out. The anime for the game was good up until the very end. The games ending was definitely NOT that vague.

    I really hope this X360 remake gets a Pc port like Steins Gate so that the fantranslators can work on it ;__;
