Monster Hunter Tri is currently enjoying a rather positive critical reception around the world. But, in Japan, Capcom have already moved on to pushing Monster Hunter Frontier, ported from PC to the Xbox 360, as the next big release, scheduled for June 24th.

Between Monster Hunter Frontier, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, and the inevitable Monster Hunter 3G, that’s a lot of Rathalos in the coming years.

You were able to play FFXI with a Silver account(Free account) on xbox live.

Actually, a 30-day “Monster Hunter ticket” comes with 30 days of Live for “free.” The PC version costs 1400 yen per month to play, same as the Xbox 360 version, but Microsoft tosses in Gold for “free” as a means of enticing people to try the game and at the same time experience Xbox Live and all it has to offer for people who normally would never think of paying to play on-line. Smart strategy on Microsoft’s end if you ask me.

Didn’t a report come out saying that they couldn’t make the offer as initially planned?

I’m dying for Frontier to come out in the U.S., but for PC – I don’t like MMO’s on consoles.

You mean preparing Frontier’s port. Frontier itself has been out for several years on PC there (not to mention over at least half its content is stuff from MH1 and MH2 with some expansions created by a different-than-the-main-MH team), Tri is essentially its sequel.

Ugh, compared to Tri this actually looks really bad.

I hate the color scheme and the atmosphere, the monsters don’t look natural and seem more… anime demon-esque, and then some of the armor looks a bit unfitting as well.

I didn’t think I MH could leave this bad of a taste in my mouth…
    And I LOVE Tri.

  • hitosura

ummm why exactly isnt this game on PS3? thats kinda odd. why wont PS3 get a Monster hunter game but 360 does? is Capcom like working for a giant Monster hunter title for PS3 or no?
