Travel To Hiun City In Pokémon Black & White

Pokémon Black & White take place in Isshu, a region situated far from the ones we’ve seen in past Pokémon games. At the centre of Isshu is Hiun City. “Hiun” means “ill fate” or “misfortune.” It can also refer to clouds flying through the sky. No doubt the name refers, in some way, to the plot and events that will surround the city.

The first of the previously-announced Pokémon from Gen-5, Zorua and Zoroark, have an ability named “Illusion.” When either of them enter battle, the Illusion ability makes them look like another Pokémon — even the name displayed onscreen — to fool the opponent. The catch is that their element type (Dark) remains the same, which is what you’ll need to look out for.

Here’s a few screenshots of the games, sourced from the official website and Serebii.net. Serebii has a few additional CoroCoro magazine scans hosted as well.

I’ll take Tsuta-ja, he looks kind of cool and a Potential Grass/Dark :) the other two starters look… lame xD for me at least. The environments look awesome, I hope they’re compatible with the 3D option of the 3DS :D // Looking at them now… they kinda look like Tales of Hearts! They might be using a similar engine? Looks cool nonetheless

wow, it’s looking nice. I’m looking forward to Gen 5 :D

I seriously hope this region is based off San Francisco… I mean look at the fog and bridge!

A Pokemon game based on the Bay Area would be neat, but im probably having false hopes…

HG/SS brought me back into Pokemon. One good starter is enough for me unlike 3rd/4th gen. The screens are looking great I am excited.

I wonder if its going to let us travel to any other region. Like how G/S/HG/SS gives us Kanto after the Elite Four.

I would like that as well, but I seriously doubt it since 1 out of 4 games (excluding remakes) had this feature. It also looks like GameFreak is focusing on 3D and better battle aesthetics, so I think there won’t be enough space for two regions.

can this one be played in Nds lite?

    • Joanna

Supposedly it is being developed for NDS, but with Nintendo, one can never know.

It’s really hard to say, isn’t it. On the one hand, they could squeeze one last gigantic DSi performance out of this game in Japan and then follow up with the 3DS launch afterward to keep the momentum going. On the other, it would make for such a fantastic 3DS launch title if they were released together. The same holds true for the overseas markets. No matter how much I think about it, I can’t for the life of me decide which would be more beneficial at this point without the data Nintendo have access to. It’s driving me nuts…I want to see how they play this!

I don’t like the starters at all but the in game screens look impressive (well for DS…) A welcome change the typical semi-top down view, this genuinely looks fresh.
