  • The series is AWESOME, last episode, 7, left me speechless! I really don’t know what’s gonna happen and never expected some things, and episode 6 was WOW, really! and love the episode previews, they give hints but you never know what’s gonna happen! I think it should have been a 24 episode series, too bad is just a one season one :(

    • yh this show is awesome!!
and yh epi 6 was epic while th 7th i was like what the… xD

    • Better to have 13 episodes of awesomeness than 24 of mediocrity

      • So true! but well I think this companies have demonstrated that 24 episodes of them are awesom, see Kanon (2006) and CLANNAD and CLANNAD ~AS~ as examples of that, I think Angel Beats! has as much potential as that. Anyway, there could always be a 2nd season, or a Visual Novel.

I had dismissed this series as another generic moe anime that happens to have Haruhi lookalikes, but it seems I was wrong.

    • I wasn’t.

    • BrotherCavil

      I wasn’t either.

This show is as mediocre as a moose.

    • No, you’re correct, the show is exactly what you said. It does have that forced drama attached to it too. It’s mediocre, but it’s still the best show this season.

  • doubletaco

I originally dismissed the show as another melodramatic KEY waste of time.

I started watching for the action movie references.

I stuck around for the bromance.

    Still on eps 2..

    Need to catch up

It’s a nice change of pace from Key’s usual style, but I don’t care much for the random slapstick comedy. They feel a bit stilted sometimes.

  • Vino (Tim N)

Am I the only one who like’s Key’s other works plus this one?

    • malek86

This doesn’t have much to do with Key though. Na-Ga and Maeda are working on it, but technically speaking, Key itself isn’t really involved. Right now, Key is working on Kudo After and Rewrite, which are supposed to be in line with their previous stuff.

By the way, where’s my Little Busters anime?

  • Hraesvelgr

Yeah, I’ve noticed the popularity of this show in Japan and I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. I guess I will just continue to have vastly different tastes (for the most part) than the Japanese market, because I really can’t get interested in this and a number of other popular titles.
