Shadow Of The Ninja Sneaking On To Virtual Console

Natsume, back in the days of the NES, used to develop action games at their studio in Japan. Shadow of the Ninja was one of those titles and it’s basically two player Ninja Gaiden without ninjutsu powers. Actually, there is a single spell, a lightning attack you can do if you hold down B, but that drains half your life.

Shadow of the Ninja also has some neat level design where you climb on pipes and battle a tank by leaping on it to slash it’s “eye”.

If you missed Shadow of the Ninja before you may get a chance to play it. According to the ESRB, Natsume will re-release Shadow of the Ninja on the Wii. Unless Natsume has a top secret a remake, Shadow of the Ninja is heading straight to Virtual Console.
