How Will Star Fox 64 3D Control On 3DS?

Looks just a little bit complex, considering the “trick” controls are set to the d-pad, which is underneath the analog slider. This game brings up the port issue once again. At least in the case of Nintendo, the N64 ports, judging by Star Fox’s graphics, are more like remakes. Just look at those textures!

Oh man I can’t wait to do a barrel roll.

Looks awesome, but let’s remember, the communications between the characters were part of what made Star Fox 64 so great; it’s easily one of the most quotable games ever. However, I have not been too fond of the voice acting in newer Star Fox games. I loved the sound of everyone’s voice in SF64, as well as the way they deliver their lines. If this version is different, it won’t be quite the same.

If this was the PSP, everyone would be bashing it because it’s only got one analog stick. Since it’s Nintendo I guess not. I will say though that in Sony’s next portable, they should copy Nintendo and use an analog similar to style as this one. Except use two so people don’t bi***.

I guess the touch screen could serve as a quasi-second analog stick. It’s not the greatest of substitutes, but it’s there.

While that’s great and all, it doesn’t help lefties at all :( I’m not one, but hey, a lot of DS games that utilize a stylus have left handed controls. No slider on the right means possibly gimped controls, either as a design issue or for lefties.

The screens on the Nintendo E3 site looked great, so it’s nice to see an extra here.
Did you guys get to play with Star Fox 64 any?
