The Giant List Of Third-Party 3DS Games

By Ishaan . June 15, 2010 . 2:18pm

When 3DS launches…whenever it launches…there’s going to be a juggernaut of both new titles and ports released for it. The list below names some of the games you can expect to see on the system once it’s available. Note that:

1. Not all of these are launch titles.

2. There seem to be a fair number of ports on the device, which is to be expected this early on.

My body is not ready for 3D Demon Fusing XDDDDDD

    • urbanscholar

      Oh you will be!

      • malek86

You should say that in a Yoda voice.

  • Interface23

Yes to a lot of those.

  • Code

rar, looking forward to 3DS, looking more forward to these games shedding the 3D tag in the title!

  • Uh, am I the only one noticing the “Super Robot franchise” title on there? Is that confirmed to be a Western release? Will we be getting that? Any idea what it is? Ishaan, guys, can you ask about this?

Also double-check and see what this Persona and Devil Survivor titles are about. Are those just ports or are they new titles (come on Devil Survivor 2!)

    • Zeik56

I’m pretty suspicious of all those SMT titles. Unless they’re really jumping the gun and announcing titles way early just to get people hyped for the 3DS, I doubt all those games are in the works. 3 different SMT titles (plus an EO title) all in development at the same time on the same console? That sounds like a lot for a company like Atlus to have on their plate.

      • szoo

        I think those are ports

        • superdry

Oh, man…Atlus. Wonderful. Maybe Atlus Japan hasn’t announced any remade version of Persona 2 because they are going to remake it for the 3DS. That’d be sweet heaven.

Seriously…why do I feel like Persona 3 is going to be ported first though…not that I mind.

      • That’s why I’d like for the SE crew to check with Atlus and get some clarification on what all those titles are. Are they new titles? Ports? What’s the deal?

Also please find out about that Super Robot Wars game tia

      • ElTopo

Keep in mind the console doesnt have a date yet, and we dont know anything about Atlus’s next years lineup…

    • If we get a chance to speak with Namco, we’ll bring it up. :)

      • Hurrah! Remember to bug Atlus too, but knowing you guys that was *already* on the itinerary. :P

        • Atlus are easier because we have an appointment. We don’t have anything fixed up with Namco, so that will only happen if Spence can find the time. And Jenni is going to be busy with doing hands-on with Natsume stuff so…

          • Vino (Tim N)

can’t wait to see Jenni’s stuff!

      • Vino (Tim N)

your probably going to smack me for this, but can you ask them for Tales of series on the 3DS too?

    • Please be #SRW #SuperRobotWars.

    • Judo

Doesn’t really mean anything. Banpresto announced that they’re releasing SRW for both the 360 and PS3 in past E3s when both consoles were still new(or was it before they came out? I don’t remember). So yeah, don’t think too deeply about it.

      • This is a little different, though. Earlier in history Banpresto/Namco were saying “oh yeah we’ll totally do the PS3/360 at some point sometime, maybe” and then nothing was said about it otherwise from any party involved. This here is *Nintendo* saying that Bandai-Namco has some kind of SRW thing cooking, before *B-N* announced anything 3DS-related. It still doesn’t guarantee something that’ll leave Japan, but Nintendo mentioning it at an American conference has to mean something, methinks.

  • bugmeknot

At least the Tales series isn’t being diluted to yet another platform, yet.

  • Electrium

Nintendo has officially killed me and brought me to gamer heaven.

  • szoo

seems like there are allready more fighting games on the 3ds, than the ds.
which is promising since that is one of the only genres that isn’t properly represented on the ds imo.

  • banballow

… do I see a new BloodRayne?! For years now, people would ask me “What do you want out of this year’s E3?”, and among other games, I’d casually relay back a new BloodRayne. Every year as disappointing as the one prior… but hot damn! Not only am I getting a new BloodRayne, but it’s gonna be in 3D. I know, Majesco’s not at E3, but I need screens…
