Nothing fancy, just a few screenshots…although, the game is playable on the E3 show floor.

    Thank you Sega

  • To bad those screenshots look to have been taken from the Yakuza 4 Demo itself that was removed not to long ago from the JPN PSN. Show me something I haven’t seen Sega, like a complete product (or close to).

Except that the names have been localized, of course. Keep in mind they just started on it, and it’s not shipping until 2011. Personally, I’m waiting until it’s actually out and in the hands of people who know what to look for before I buy it at full price.

      • A lot of the ground work has been laid since quite a few things from Yakuza 3 carried over, locals and such are pretty much the same. However, the shorted the time period between their localization start and their ship date the less im gonna be happy. If they absolutely have to, ill accept a delay to get this game localized up to current gen standards.

Huh, if you squint really hard, you can kinda pretend Sega’s putting a mildly decent effort into this one. We’ll see.

  • I hope SEGA can fend off SCEA’s high and almighty “MANDATORY English Dub” rule.

    • Kris

They did for 2 and 3, I’m sure they will for 4!

    • Have you played Yakuza 3? All in Japanese on the PS3. Even in NA.

    • dont know where you were during yakuza2 and 3 but they got passed that long ass time ago

    • SeventhEvening

Yeah, they had no problem releasing Yakuza 2 and 3 without a dub. I’d say “high and almighty” aren’t the right adjectives.

  • kupomogli

I’m getting this day one. Like I say in every Yakuza 4 thread. Sega is easily one of the best companies this gen. Companies like this need their own system… or seven.

    • SeventhEvening

They have released a lot of good stuff recently. Resonance of Fate, Bayonetta, Infinite Space, Madworld, Yakuza 3, even Sonic and Sega All-Stars racing was pretty solid (if uninspired). If Sega released a new console, I’d buy it.

But, then again, I was a huge supporter of Sega back in the Dreamcast and Genesis days.

Wheres the latest Virtua Fighter 5 with online play Sega….why do you keep slighting us.

    And Shenmue 3!!!

    • kupomogli

On the 360. It really sucks PS3 owners aren’t going to get the same luxury :(.
