Fan-made King’s Quest Sequel Still Coming

To the disappointment of many, earlier this year, Activision halted progress of The Silver Lining, a fan-developed sequel to King’s Quest — in production at Phoenix Online Studios — after property rights of the Sierra I.P. were transferred to them.

Luckily, things have turned around since then, and, thanks to a mutual agreement between the two parties, The Silver Lining will be seeing an “official” free release after all — as an episodic series. The debut episode, What is Decreed Must Be, will release on July 10th, with more episodes to follow throughout the remainder of the year.
