In an interview with industry site, CVG, president of Sega in the West, Mike Hayes, reveals some interesting hints as to the kind of approach the company has in mind with regard to Nintendo 3DS support.

“I think that’s a great opportunity for Nintendo and for us — particularly Western-orientated publishers,” Hayes said, in reply to a question about his thoughts on the device. “So House of the Dead or Aliens vs. Predator or other core titles like that could see a home on that platform as well, of course, as all the brands that we know will do well — Monkey Ball, Sonic etc.”

Hayes also confirmed that Sega will be releasing 3DS titles to coincide with the system’s launch.

Uhm, I’d rather play that kind of stuff on a big screen with a gun.

    • Agreed. But killing Zombies on the go sounds fun too. As long as we get a Wii(2?)/Move version.

Sure, as long as it’s nothing like Overkill.

        • Have to agree. I’m all for HotD, but please: no more Overkill. It had too many flaws (shotgun power, score system, no penalty for using the cursor… just for starters :/)

A HotD: Overkill sequel? Hell yes. On 3DS? I dunno…

That’s cool. I can take my $##^$$$^*(# on the #$#(%(#% road.

  • You know, I was hoping for the Alien vs Predator mentioned to be the old Arcade beat ’em up on CPS2 hardware. Would totally get a 3DS just for that.

Somehow though I suspect they mean just another Aliens themed FPS. =(
