NIS America has a premium Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland package for North America. Yes, it has Rorona on the cover.
The limited edition contains Atelier Rorona and a hardcover art book in what appears to be an oversized box.
Atelier Rorona and the collectable art book will be in stores on September 28.
It looks to be another busy few months for RPGs, I don’t know how I’m going to have time to play them all. Also, I’m a bit sad that there’s no mini-soundtrack, as I’m a huge fan of the GUST sound team. I’ll probably get this anyway.
You had me at artbook.
STILL can’t pre-order it yet, but awesome nonetheless.
The special editions are usually only available on Rosenqueen. NISA sends out a newsletter when they’re available for pre-order, so if you want to know when it’s up, sign up for their Prinny Bomb.
I definitely hope this is not only on Rosenqueen. As a Canadian.. buying at RosenQueen means paying an extra 15 or so on top to get it shipped. Usually with these its only 10$ more but i dunt think i will pay 25$ extra for the game
I live some 2 hours away from NISA’s shipping and distribution facilities. For me, shipping still costs $10, and that’s when I choose 1-Week, not 1-day. On the plus side, I always get my games the day it’s shipped as if I had bought the 1-Day shipping. Yes, their shipping prices are outrageous.
NISA has been doing Rosenqueen-exclusive SEs for years now, I wouldn’t count on it going to normal stores, but hey, you never know.
I currently subscribe to RosenQueens newsletter, according to them the RQ site has been desolved, so all former and future orders will be handled by NISA.
But thanks nonetheless.
No glass ornament? I’m somehow slightly disappointed. I’ll still be getting the game for more practical reasons though. (It’s so much easier to synth in English, if they translate it right.)The Japanese limited edition came with this (Which is sitting on my computer now, although it’s not linking right…):http://s843.photobucket.com/albums/zz353/Illusi…I’ve yet to arrange a shoot for my matching Totori one though… or of all the other stuff I managed to swipe…At the moment (While I’m sick no less) I’m busy playing through Rorona again in Japanese. I need to stop playing it…
Lol what do you expect? xD That was in japan and is already a weird (with weird i mean like special and not common) bonus for a game. It will take some time to see those kind of extras here.
Anyway this looks great, i freaking want it, too bad i can only buy from amazon so it can reach my country T_T
I know, but hey, one could hope.
It would be one heck of a motivational reason to buy it though, you’d have to admit.
For most part, it was the reason why both Totori and Rorona’s Limited Editions of the games sold out so quickly (Both in the space of the weekend they were announced).
NISA did however pull off a very interesting trick, with getting the Japanese Limited Edition of Atelier Annie (They even lifted boxes and the figures from the Japanese edition) so there’s always the outside hope there.
Hmm… So I guessed right about the reason lack of Rorona on the US box art? I guess NickyD was right about “oversaturating” her presence if she was on it.
So is it just the premium edition or will there be a lower-priced standard edition as well? I hope premium is released in retail, too, rather than only Rosenqueen.
Anyone can confirm if this limited edition is everywhere or exclusive to NISA online store? please tell me its everywhere.
second. I hope it’s not Rosenqueen exclusive. info? anyone? Nick? xD
third. Please be on Amazon! COME ON NIS!
I thought RQ was switched (or something like that) over to NISA?
As far as I’m aware, here’s what happened.
First, it’s not really like Rosenqueen and NISA are completely different. Rosenqueen was originally a physical store back when NISA first opened in North America. But because of lack of sales, the original store eventually closed and turned into Online-only. They seem to be doing rather well Online-only, though.
Basically what NISA did here was rename Rosenqueen and move the website. It’s technically no longer called Rosenqueen, but, for me, the habit stays and I’ll probably be calling it Rosenqueen for another year until I finally get used to it. I think it’s the same for a lot of people, with them using Rosenqueen as a blanket term for “NISA shop.”
Ah, I see. Same here. As dorky as it sounds I kind of liked gold and red color scheme they used if only because it reminded me of the shops in the game every time, but the “new” shop is much more organized.
Gonna miss those ‘merchant monkeys’, though…
I’m such a sucker for Limited/Premium/Collector’s packs, despite not having the time to play them. ¬_¬*ka-ching*
Oh me too! Even if it was not that great…I just have to!!
I am a collector of sorts -w- a cheeky one.
*way less ka-ching than you*
I’m the same way, if a game comes with a limited or collector’s edition I get it, even if I never get around to playing the game. lol But what sucks about things like that is that they’re usually pre-order bonus and most stores don’t carry the game so you’re forced to purchase online, and I’ve been screwed a few times with online pre-order bonus or limited editions (mostly imports)
Yeah me too, I can’t order online much, since my big brother is the one that buys stuff online for me and I pay him cash.
It kind of sucks that the standard version doesn’t feature Rorona on the cover at all and only has her staff, so I guess I’d be inclined to pay an extra $10 or $15 if it meant having her on the cover instead as well as the artbook :P
Standard edition or not though, can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ve been itching for a new RPG these past few months, heh.
I hope their will be a premium box in Europe as well.
Nice. Will definitely get the premium package. It is an obligation.
I thought the other cover was pretty enough, but this one’s adorable!
Has there been any talks about when the EU version will be released? If not, I’ll just import as always.
According to what I have read on neogaf we won’t get the premium edition in Europe, I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed but still it will be day one for me.
The more I hear about this game the more I’m eager to eventually own a PS3.
Only a matter of time…
