Asbel Is Also In Tales Of The World: Radiant Mythology 3

By Spencer . July 28, 2010 . 8:30am

rm3Shonen Jump also announced a new Tales game for PSP. Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 continues the crossover series with a new cast of characters.

How many characters? Over 80 and Asbel, the lead character from Tales of Graces, is one of them. Another Kanonno character is the game’s heroine. Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 is scheduled to come out next year.

Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X also has an Asbel appearance via an unlockable costume. Fans that pick up that PSP game up next month will be able to use a password to get the outfit, which also has some voice samples.

    In other words,
Here’s a new tales game and you American/European bastards won’t get it.

  • thebanditking

I doubt the west will ever seen this game released but I actually really enjoyed the first one.

    • kupomogli

Yeah, me too. First game was good. It was really nice playing as your favorite Tales characters going around getting better equipment, refining items, etc. Really fun game.

Since we’re not going to get the second one I’d like to get the third one but we know that’ll never happen.

  • holyPaladin

    nice info

Haven’t finished the first sadly :(

  • Sheena Fujibayashi MUST be in. I’ve been waiting for like 5 years to see her in PSP. NAMDAI PLEASE!

  • Wake

I thought that was Seto from Fragile Dreams.

  • Yet another Tales game I’ll never play, thanks to not knowing Japanese. After playing the original for over 70 hours, I’m quite disappointed that the non-Japanese-speaking fans are going to be left hanging by Namco Bandai yet again.

    • For me it’s turned from disappointment to solemn acceptance.

  • I tired of kanono or the typical “pink haired heroine chick”

…and this is another game that I’ll never see in english.

    • SanityCrisis

Yeah, that’s Kanonno alright. Kanonno Glassbell if I’m reading that correctly.

Earhart was the reincarnation of the original Kanonno, so I’m wondering if they’re going to come up with some kind of tie-in for this game too. No idea what it’ll be, but I feel like it’s going to be pretty ridiculous if they do.

  • Draparde

Loved the first, and the second (even though i couldent understand it and thus still havent beaten it) though i doubt this will come out in the US i still look forwerd to see who will be in it, and will probably grab the Japanese version anyway.

Imma join the crowd and say: *tantrum* give me my Tales, damn evil company! Anyway, this is so irrelevant news for most of us, we haven’t even gotten the 2nd game in the west. Sure you can import, but the majority doesn’t know japanese and probably won’t ever learn it sufficiently to understand a Tales-game, so it’s pretty much moot information this. I try to refrain from posting negative and nonconstructive comments, but I really want these games and it frustrates me quite a great deal.

  • SanityCrisis

Joining in with the “this will never see the light of English” crowd.

No one’s going to just skip over a game and release the next game in the series. And 80+ characters means a bunch of voice actors. Don’t even get me started on the Western gaming audience’s attitude toward voice acting.

Nonetheless, probably going to import it because I love being able to make my Tales dream teams. Flynn better be playable.

    • “Don’t even get me started on the Western gaming audience’s attitude toward voice acting.”

You mean the fact that they wouldn’t know good voice acting if it slapped them across the face while performing devious acts of intercourse on their birth mother?

    • bugmeknot

It’s quite hard to find fully voiced games, especially on PSP. Even Tales of Phantasia Full Voice Edition is not fully voiced!

  • NBGI Employee: Next on the list… Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3. What if we release that out west? Oh, but we haven’t released the second one.
NBGI CEO: Just rename it to Radiant Mythology 2. They won’t know the difference!
    NBGI Employee: That’s genius!
NBGI CEO: No… you know what’s genius? Let’s not release any more Tales games outside of Japan.

  • joesz

I’ve been waiting for tales’s news from the studio!

  • lol kanonno is an adult now D:, weird xD
