Back in July, Amazon knocked $50 off the price of their Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 bundle, bringing the system and game down to $300. Now, the bundle has been discounted again, and is down to $249.99. Considering the bundle includes an Xbox 360 with a 250GB HDD, two wireless controllers, the game and a custom faceplate, that’s a really, really solid deal.

Thanks for the deal notice, Joystiq.

While I have no need to buy another Xbox 360, since its reveal I’ve felt this was a pretty lousy bundle, especially when compared to Japan’s FFXIII PS3 bundle.

They more or less threw a copy of FFXIII and a regular old white 360 in a box and called it a bundle. I was expecting some elegantly skinned console (maybe controllers too?), not a faceplate…

The so called Limited edition faceplate I was able to buy in Best Buy Canada for 9.99.. haha

I thought about buying this to replace my dying Falcon 360 but in all honesty the potential value here is pretty low. I don’t need any more controllers (that have no rechargeable batteries) and lets face it the 360 version of this game is awful.
So controllers I don’t need, a version of a game I don’t want, a plain jane 360 and a HDD and faceplate for a game I don’t want on this system……..make it 199.99 and maybe I’ll think about it again.

Pretty sure at this point Xbox has permeated itself into homes that this is just a bit redundant. Also, since the X360 S is out now there’s no reason to even bother because the faceplate becomes completely useless. :/ When this is down to $200 maybe I will grab one though I’m finding little else on 360 worth getting one for.
