Atlus Partner With Tomy To Publish Two Naruto Shippuden Games [Update]

By Ishaan . August 24, 2010 . 1:45pm

Earlier in the week, we discovered a bunch of leaked Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Blade Chronicles in English via Amazon. Neither Tomy nor Namco Bandai nor D3 Publisher — all associated with past Naruto titles — had announced a localization, so we weren’t entirely sure who was going to be bringing the game over.

Today, in a surprise announcement, Atlus revealed that they’re the North American publisher behind Dragon Blade Chronicles for Wii and also Naruto vs. Sasuke for the Nintendo DS. Both games are scheduled for release on November 16th, 2010.

Atlus also confirmed that they’ll be announcing pre-order bonuses, purchase goodies and “special bundles” for the two games over the next few weeks. You can view high-res screenshots of Dragon Blade Chronicles below.

Update: Pre-order bonuses and regular bonuses are up on Atlus’s website for Dragon Blade Chronicles. Pre-ordering at Gamestop nets you a Naruto cap, while pre-ordering at Amazon will get you a metal keychain. Additionally, ordering the game from Amazon also gives you the option to grab this nifty game + five-set figure bundle for $70:

I hope It does well for them. More money to localize SMT games. ^^

I really don’t care about Naruto, but I hope it goes well for Atlus.

  • I don’t care for Naruto either, but daammmnn Atlus, you guys really know how to please fans.

I like the manga, but most of the games suck imo. Hope it sells good for them though

  • Wow this is awesome, the figurine one for Amazon is definitely a must buy for me. I think this will be my 10th Naruto game, they are all just so awesome.

Naruto isn’t my thing, but if it does well for Atlus then hopefully that will give them more funds to give us more niche titles..But Atlus hasn’t announced a lot of their core niche titles so far this year, I hope they are not trying to get away from them. :(PS. Localize Luminous Arc 3 please.

In my opinion CC2 are the only developers that make decent Naruto games, I know Namco publish them so that’s cool. I’ve actually heard rumours that CC2 are making Accel 6 at the moment ^_^

    • CC2 makes great Naruto games, but I wish they’d give more love to .hack too…

Same, they seem to be giving too much attention to “Solatorobo” at the moment ¬_¬

    • Perhaps but on the Wii front the ones who did Clash Of Ninja Revolution 3 should be praised, that was was awesome.
