Otaku Inventory: Metis Figma Wants Your Money

By Ishaan . August 29, 2010 . 12:00pm

Aigis already had her own Figma. Now, Metis does, too, and as you’d expect of a Max Factory product, it looks great. And it looks like you get Koromaru along with her! You can check out more images of the figurine on GoodSmile’s product page.

Play-Asia have the thing listed at $40, along with a product description:

“The battle of the android maidens starts this moment. Metis, Aegis’ “little sister” is her fiercest opponent and compatible twin. Put her in all sorts of battle poses, and all sorts of weapons into her hands. Her package comes with the bus stop sign and her golden spear, so use them to deal massive damages. You can even switch her head parts (smiling and angry expressions) and pull her visor down for maximum effect.

Slip the little clear parts beneath her feet so she could stand without the support of the arm. Place the winged Koromaru dog beside her for battle support.”

This would go well with my Aigis figma, so I may end up getting it, and to anyone else who may be interested check out Amiami’s english site it’s listed for 2230yen which is around $26. http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english&vgForm=ProductInfo&sku=FIG-MOE-2079&template=default/product/e_display.html

Awesome, thanks for the link. I might just jump on this when I have cash.

  • karasuKumo

I’ll admit that’s awesome but I still don’t get why people would spend so much on a figure :| Whatever floats your boat I guess :D

  • goronyan

    that’s a shame ’cause I had pre-ordered gs’s Dead Master for november.

And I already have others max factory figures to care about (BRS, Saber, Marisa and Azunyan).

    Well, maybe next year ┐(´∀`;)┌

  • Yeah, I wouldn’t use Play-Asia for figures. It’s 2,429 yen at Hobby Search and someone listed AmiAmi’s prices.

I was considering getting this..but I need to cut down my figma spending and I’ve never played FES. It looks awesome though! (I really wanted Koromaru :( )

    • Yea, I’m not in the habit of buying Figma stuff, but this looks really sleek and awesome. >< Just bought that Soejima artbook last month, too. God damn you, Atlus…

      • Omg. I want that. I bought the P3 and P4 artbooks before I played the games, because I like his art a lot. But it doesn’t really match that Soejima artbook at all…

        • There’s barely any text in the thing, too! Mostly captions for the illustrations and whatnot. It’s just page after page of artwork.

That reminds me, I need to see if that artbook is available for browsing at our local Kinokuniya. Could someone just give me a rough idea of how the content is like, like whether it’s, say, 40% Persona, 30% this series, etc?

          • The majority of it is Persona 3 / FES / P3P. About 1/3 is Persona 4. Then there’s a few pages (about 5-6) of Stella Deus. The fourth section is “Other works,” which again consists of about 10-12 pages. Following that is an interview.

      • Goddammit I ended up pre-ordering the figure. Well I can always cancel it later.

Maybe if my wallet allows, I’ll check out that artbook at Kinokuniya, it sounds really awesome…

  • mirumu

I wonder when figures for P3P’s female protagonist will start to appear? Hopefully not as a Figma. Figmas work well for Aigis and Metis though given ball joints were part of their original design.

    • I liked the Mitsuru figure, it was well designed. Even though they get a lot of hate for different reasons, I really want to see one of Yukari and Fuuka (and Chie). Yeah, where the heck are they? The plushonas were nice, too. I wanted to see more of those.

Somehow, the item-description is adorable and I really wouldn’t mind owning my own but I’m fine without it. Still, quite amazing work, isn’t it?
