Ninja Theory-developed Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is receiving a demo tomorrow, September 21st, on the PlayStation Network. The Xbox Live demo will follow “soon,” although, Namco didn’t provide a date.

The Enslaved demo will let you play through the opening chapter of the game. Namco also confirmed both store-exclusive downloadable content at release, such as various costume changes that will have an effect on the characters’ abilities, and regular DLC such as a side story starring Pigsy, one of the game’s characters.

Here’s a fesh batch of enemy screens while you wait:

For those interested – the demo in question is available for quite some time now on the EU PS Store :)

      Thanks. Downloading now :)

rar I’ve seen screen shots for this before but suddenly this time something is speaking to me, I might just have to try this.

Very interested in seeing how this one turns out. All of the impressions I’ve read so far have been excellent. I love their color choices.

Agreed, oddly enough I had a conversation just yesterday about the color palette in certain games lately being kind of dry. Maybe this is part of what attracted me to these screen shots.

WOW nice! after i saw this in game informer earlier this year i believe i had very high hopes. I dunno something about this game really draws me in. Not sure what it was. Just the concept, character approach, background story etc.

It was one of the few games recently released that were action games but i did not care much for the combat system and just wanted to see the game.

Can anyone confirm the demo has screen tearing and framerate issues?

    • MrRobbyM

It indeed does. Not horrible, but definitely noticeable.

Woohoo. This is looking to be one of the best games this fall

Just played the demo and I gotta say, I’m impressed. Think Uncharted 2(because I didn’t play the first) without guns and flashy beat em’ up combat. There are a few issues with the framerate and screen tearing but it dosen’t ruin the experience. I’m not quite sold on it yet but the demo was fun.

Looking forward to this. Trip is hot (NOT a Nariko clone) and Andy Serkis actually plays a pretty decent looking guy this time. I’m still deciding whether to get this on PS3 or 360, hope the 360 demo is up soon. I prefer the 360 controller for most games.

Great demo, I felt slightly nostalgic playing the “Airship” level, Great stuff!

The look of this game was really cool when playing the demo. Nice art direction and platforming and fighting seemed real fluid. The only thing I dont like is the look of the main character. He looks like some steroid Italian guido from NY cosplaying as Goku
