Ninja Theory Go Behind The Scenes Of Enslaved

By Ishaan . October 2, 2010 . 3:01pm

I’d personally recommend Part 3 the most, since it gives you a look at the motion-capture and voice-recording behind the game, which is just as fascinating as it was in the case of Ninja Theory’s previous game, Heavenly Sword.

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

    interesting videos!
At the first I hated enslaved,But after trying the demo few times,it grew on me:D

somewhat this video made me look forward for the new devil may cry.let’s be honest, that dude looked like dante after the dante’s job that was operated on him in that screenshot

    • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

I played the demo again too, and it got better the second time around. I think it was because I adjusted my expectations.

My initial impressions were that the platforming and technical aspects didn’t hold up to games like PoP08 or UC2, but then I realized that was unfair of me. I took the game for what it was, not what I wanted it to be, and had fun.

I had no idea why these guys are getting all the hate, seems like professionals who really love and care about what they do and always give 120% (like Cyber connect 2). Heavenly Sword’s world was lush and unique, it was one of the first games that made special use of the sixaxis. I’ve seen every video there is for Enslaved and I can’t wait to pick up this baby on Tues. I’m getting Castlevania too, but I have a feeling this game would be the only thing I”m playing because of the good narrative. Monkey, Trip, and Pigsy all seem like interesting characters. Unlike Hitler, I don’t mind them doing DMC :)This dude is pretty cool, like Cliffy B. w/o the smugness :)

    • Kal_Kent

I don’t think anyone minds them doing DMC but the fact that they changed the look of an iconic character like Dante is why there getting this much hate.

      • http://twitter.com/retroagehippy Bill DeMont

Which wouldn’t be so bad if Dante didn’t look like Tameem Antoniades. How narcissistic can one be to model an iconic character after himself?

  • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

Although they obviously took a lot of liberties, I’m glad these guys seemed to have really done their research, and have a love for the source material. I imagine had this been a big budget movie by a big Hollywood studio, it would’ve ended badly.

Also, Lindsey Shaw is quite the cutie. :)

    • Aoshi00

Trip is hot, the actress is okay. I think the model (Jacqui Ainsley) who did the mo-cap for Madison in Heavy Rain was hotter.

      • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

Whoa, can’t argue with that (just googled her)… still, I happen to fancy girl-next-door types. :P

  • Happy Gamer

i played the demo i just had fun lol. i think i just enjoy games too much to be picky. to be on thje critique side, i def see alot of influenc from Prince of Persia 2008, and even some JAK series. what impressed me most was the setting and presentation. made me go “awwwwwww demo ended?”

there were only 2 games that were on my radar this year which one of em was bayonetta, but this game caught me by surprise. i saw this on game informer when it was first announced but until i played the demo i didn’t know what to expect.

i woulda loved it for the story and design but gameplay seems very solid.

    day 1 for me.

    Haha, Mosely is the girl.

Sounds pretty awesome though, I think I will actually pick this right up.

  • Roses4Aria

It’s funny. I wasn’t interested in this game at all before last week. However, after watching some of the interviews, gameplay videos, and trailers, I have to admit it’s managed to reel me in despite the fact that it’s not my usual type of game. I’ll probably pick it up. :)

  • karasuKumo

I live pretty close to them :D I don’t like Pigsy, I hate those types of characters. I don’t like a lot of their designs to be honest. Looks good though, might give the demo a go.

The demo had mediocre gameplay and a story that made me want to keep playing. I will probably pick this up when it’s $20, a year from now or so.

  • WonderSteve

I will probably wait until Enslaved is around 40 dollars.

I don’t think the game will be very long and it doesn’t seem like there is much replay value.

    • Aoshi00

If you’re getting from Kmart, it’s having a promo of $25 coupon. Castlevania’s having a $20 coupon, I’m getting both. I just found out that the 360 ver of LoS is on 2 discs, now I’m wondering which ver to get.. I prefer the 360 controller and achievement, but two discs… which could be installed (and no swapping needed) or B-R which might load slower, decisions :(…

      • WonderSteve

Unfortunately I am in Canada, and rarely get good deals for games on release day. Amazon.ca’s deals is also very sad when compare to the US amazon.

If you prefer controller I guess you should probably get the 360 version. I don’t have a preference for controller this generation, but I usually get multiplatform games on PS3. Online play is free and I don’t think MS deserve money for selling unreliable console this time.

Demo is lots of fun, can’t wait, too many great games out this year!
