Fantasy Life was originally announced by Level 5 as a Nintendo DS game, developed by Brownie Brown. You can view a few screenshots and details of the original concept, but bear in mind that they aren’t representative of the game in its current form anymore.

Fantasy Life is now a Nintendo 3DS game, with art by original Final Fantasy artist and composer team, Yoshitaka Amano and Nobuo Uematsu. As with all of Level 5’s other game announcements today, no concrete details on Fantasy Life were announced.

  • i can’t see anywhere the style of amano on the leaked screens… it looks much more as a animal crossing clone =.= thou

Nobuo Uematsu!!!!! That means we can look forward to some awesome music in this title. =)

I think this is a good thing. If it were released as a DS game, it wouldn’t make it over here because, unlike Japan, games for obsolete consoles/handhelds just don’t seem to sell. For example, Japan was still getting PS2 games until early this year whereas Sakura Wars 5 for PS2 couldn’t get any shelf space and was sold only via NISA’s website.
