That up there is the poster Atlus are sending out to Japanese retailers to promote Persona 2: Innocent Sin on the PSP. Hmm…what’s that at the bottom? Oho, a mention of a mini-soundtrack!

In Japan, the first shipment of Innocent Sin will include a mini-soundtrack that includes tracks the game’s original score, as well as composer-cum-director, Shoji Meguro’s re-arranged mixes for the PSP port.

  • can’t wait to listen to the soundtracks <3

  • This soundtrack better come to the US when they announce that version. I kind of want to experience this game because in P3:P, Stupei gave me the Innocent Sin MMO game and the female character I talk to that MMO like I think references that game a bit, lol.

Fun fact, in the Japanese version of P3, the Maya and Tatsuya screennames were Y-Ko and N-Jima, referencing Yumiko and Nakajima, protagonists of Megami Tensei and the original Digital Devil Story novels that started the Megaten franchise. The game itself was called Devil Busters Online.

The Persona 2 reference was added because Atlus USA figured English-speaking Megaten fans would be much more familiar with P2 than Megami Tensei, since at least Eternal Punishment was localized.

You know, hearing Philemon’s theme on the main site, I’m thinking this Meguromix won’t be as bad as P1’s.

    Then again…that opening…

Yeah, I found it pretty bone chilling as well.

Was there any doubt that there was going to eb a soundtrack of sorts on at least some version of the game?

    • Testsubject909

It’s Atlus. It’s their Minimal swag. The very least you can expect out of them is either a Soundtrack or an Artbook.

      And I love that.

  • Looking pretty angsty there Tatsuya. Considering all the crap he goes through however, it’s sorta understandable.

If this gets packaged in the NA release, I hope the Sumuru City (SPOILERS) BGM gets picked. It’s my favorite track out of the IS/EP games.

  • Atlus really missed the boat by not including both Persona 2 games on one disc. I’ll be skipping this if it comes stateside.
