Luffy And Crew Set Sail On 3DS In This One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP Trailer

In case you missed the news, Namco Bandai are porting both episodes of One Piece: Unlimited Cruise from the Wii to the Nintendo 3DS, as One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP (“SP” pronounced as “special”). Today, they released a promo video for the game.

 

Unlimited Cruise SP is slated for a Spring 2011 release, so it’s amongst Namco’s earliest 3DS games.

    Wait what is the time frame the game fits in?! Fire Fist Ace and Whitebeard?! This game is looking to be epic, a must buy. I love the japanese VA, Ive been buying the english dvds (5 volumes thus far) but havent yet watched though Im curious of the dub voices. Ive watched the subtitled episodes that are simulcasted for the past few months now so caught up on the anime.

    But still I cant wait, I didnt see my favorite magma vice admiral

      I don’t know about the timeframe, but without spoiling anything I can say this: The game uses a trick so that you can fight old and new foes, while not tampering with the story (and no, it’s not just a giant dream)

      The characters also got new animal themed outfits for this game, making it somewhat timeless.

      People that don’t know the source material can still play the game, it’s very self-explenatory.

    Some of the cast seems to have a different seiyus. Most noticeably Kizaru.

    Yeah this is gonna be awesome. If they’ve made the gameplay more balanced (and be a bit generous with item space) then this is going to be even better :)

    I don’t really like fighters (I suck at them ^//////^), but I would pick this up if it ever made it over here. I adore the One Piece world and characters and would gladly take the beatings I would get from this game just to get a chance to play as some of my favourites. :)
