Viz have added another round of new series to their manga library on the iPad. Joining the previous selection of titles are Vampire Knight, Otomen, Ouran Highschool Host Club, and Rurouni Kenshin.

Each volume costs $4.99 on Viz’s iPad store. Viz’s app itself is free, however, and offers free previews of the first chapter of several series.

Yay! It’s nice to see some more shoujo titles up there finally. I don’t care for Otomen, but Vampire Knight is okay and I love Ouran.

I picked up Vampire Knight from the app. If they give me confidence in their support of the service by posting a release schedule I would gladly pick up other series. Until that happens I’ll just grab Vampire Knight volumes whenever they decide to release them.

  • I’m encouraged by this – I kinda wish they would release for Kindle, but I know that eliminates the opportunity for color comics and Viz is probably taking this digital comic thing slowly.
