Here’s A New Samurai Warriors 3Z Promo Video

Samurai Warriors 3Z on PlayStation 3, which is the same game as Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends on Wii — and they’re both enhanced versions of Samurai Warriors 3 — has a new promotional video, which you can watch above.

3Z comes with ten new scenarios, and Koei have also new characters to choose from: Aya Gozen, Fukushima Masanori, and Gracia. Both games are due for release on February 10th in Japan.

Whats the point of giving the Wii and PS3 versions a different name when they’re exactly the same game? Seems pointless to me.

I think it has to do with the Wii version being an expansion of sorts to the original Samurai Warriors 3 on the Wii. That or the “Z” in Koei games now places them in a Japan only category (Warriors Orochi Z which had no overseas release), but I doubt that.

But both the Wii and PS3 versions are just Samurai Warriors 3 with the extra content. As far as I know the only difference between them is the Wii version has an extra mode that uses Samurai Warriors 3 save data in some way but it doesn’t seem like a good reson to give the games seperate titles.

        • The PS3 version also runs at a higher framerate. It runs at a consistent 60. But yea, that and HD appear to be the only difference.

          • They just need to release it here and I will finally have a Samurai Warriors game that isn’t really, really old.

Well. That and, I do believe that there is one gameplay mode available in the Wii that isn’t available on the PS3.

I forgot what it was called (and cared little for it anyways).

          • Ohh, the Nazo no Murasame Jou mode.

  • 2:54 is the Zorro!

Watching this just reminded me of how slow SW is and convinced me not to try it out again. I’ll stick to Sengoku Basara. Though Im not a big fan of these kinds of games anyways. Just simple dumb fun.

I’m so with you on that one! Loved SB3 so much, but I’ve also never played a SW game before so I may eventually give it a try.

    please localize this koei :D

i would want to play this game more so than dynasty warriors due to me liking the japanese history more than chinese ^^

  • Finally more Oda related characters. I liked these scenarios best.

Okuni looks like to become a comedy character again with her jumping from one cannonball to another.
