Lord of Arcana Bosses Get The Spotlight In This New Trailer

Lord of Arcana will be out before you know it, toward the end of this month, on January 25th. Square Enix released a new trailer for the demon-slaying co-op game this game, showing off a boss battle. There’s also an English demo up on the PlayStation Network now, so you have the option of giving it a go if you want to see how the game differs from other co-op-based PSP games like Monster Hunter.

  • I tried playing the English demo, I really did. I think I was better off not understanding what was going on when playing the Japanese demo… ’cause I made it past the tutorial.

    • Exkaiser

I played the entire demo, man and…

Well, I’m not going to be playing the full game, to say the least.

      • So bad eh? Damn, haven’t played the jpn version(and won’t bother with the demo now), but thought this could have been quite promising, seems it’s not. :/

        • Why don’t you try the demo first? You might like it.. As for me, I’m getting God Eater. Had my eye on that thing since first screenshots came out

          • Hm maybe, I’m actually not the co-op player, just liked the settings and all.
God Eater on the other hand, I’m going to buy too, played the jpn version from my friend and really liked it.

      • Haha. God Eater’s a different story entirely. They better release an English demo for it… I want to get ahead before the game releases…

I’ll have to check out the demo, ’cause I thought this was basically a Monster Hunter imitator but the trailer makes it look more like Dissidia…

    • Exkaiser

It’s a more flashy Monster Hunter-like, but when bosses get close to death, you finish them off with a QTE cutscene like the finishing moves in Dissidia.

  • I’m getting this game no matter how bad people say it is. I enjoyed the demo.

    • Barrit

Same here, I still play it sometimes. I’ve been leveling up all my weapons, skills, and stocking up on cores.

  • PrinceHeir

looks interesting, still skeptical about it though :

  • Poor Bahamut. One day he (it?) is going to go on strike. Now Zero Bahamut on the otherhand is a complete jerk.

Anywho I’m totally getting this game, along with God Eater and Monster Hunter Portable 3 (and that Naruto one if it’s ever released in the west). Heard it’s quite hard though.
