Dead or Alive: Dimensions Has Added Scenes, Tag-Teams, Figure-Collecting

By Ishaan . January 12, 2011 . 6:30pm

As we’ve reported previously, Dead or Alive: Dimensions has a “Chronicle” mode that recaps the events of the first four Dead or Alive games, while helping players get acquainted with a bunch of different characters.

Dimensions doesn’t just provide a recap of the old games, however. It also contains scenes and events that weren’t in the original games, to help detail the series’ storyline. Additionally, like Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, it has you collect in-game figures of the fighters.

This is done by taking photographs of the characters within in the game, although Japanese retailer, Game Star, who leaked the feature, don’t provide any details on this front. Game Star also confirm the presence of some sort of cooperative element, Tag Team matches, and online play.

Now that is how you get people to get into a new game series. They should be praised for providing such a feature in the game!

Maybe they should stop giving Game Star Info. They are clearly unreliable confidantes.

If the figures are in 3D that should be interesting, a bit like having them for real, except they don’t take up shelf space or get dusty over time :D
