Get Two Copies Of Earth Defense Force 2 Portable For The Price Of One

D3 Publisher has an interesting launch bonus for Earth Defense Force 2 Portable. The first print is a "double enlistment pack," which includes two copies of the PSP game. Earth Defense Force 2 Portable has a multiplayer mode, so perhaps D3 is trying to spark a Monster Hunter Freedom trend by promoting cooperative play.

After the initial run you only get one giant bug blasting game for 6,279 yen ($75). Earth Defense Force Portable 2 comes out on April 7 in Japan. As of now, D3 Publisher have not announced the game for North America.

  • Translation – “Look you know, heck we even admit it, when it comes to single player, EDF just isn’t fun. It’s only when you play multiplayer that it becomes a blast. So with that said, here’s two games for the price of one for a limited time”

But…..I had fun playing in single player..

kinda reminded me of the deal like White Knight Chronicles 2(includes the 1st game) damn it where’s that game at?

    sweet deal is sweet :)

That situation wasn’t exactly a “bonus” – finishing the first game was a requirement for playing the second, so they just added a somewhat updated version of WKC1 to the disc so that people who got 2 but not 1 wouldn’t be like “…seriously?”

This is still totally a cool idea though – kind of like the packs for some of Valve’s multiplayer games on Steam, when you can buy four copies for a discounted price and give the other ones to friends.

Wouldn’t it had been nice if that were also the case with Mass Effect 2 for PS3
