U.K. Retailer HMV Taking Pre-Orders For Arcana Heart 3

By Ishaan . January 16, 2011 . 10:08pm

A month ago, Examu and Arc System Works’ all-gals fighter, Arcana Heart 3, showed up on a U.K. games release calender, with pQube — who published BlazBlue in Europe — listed as the game’s publisher.

That little tip was sent to us by Siliconera reader and Arcana Heart fan, Sheentaku. This week, he sent us a follow-up to the story, pointing out that Arcana Heart 3 is now listed on U.K. retailer HMV’s website…under the “RPG” section for some reason. pQube are once again listed as the game’s publisher, and HMV are taking pre-orders for the game.

pQube/Zen United haven’t made any announcements regarding Arcana Heart 3 yet, but it’s looking very likely that Europeans will be able to look forward to playing the game later this year.

A high-five to Sheentaku for keeping up with the story and keeping us notified!

    I’m so playing this. <:

  • PrinceHeir

please localize this on US as well, we need more fighters :)

    • We could use another Guilty Gear too, don’t you think?

  • vadde939

Well they’re apparently releasing the PSP & Wii versions of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus in EU Q1 this year but after that their release calendar is looking pretty empty. Arcana Heart sure would be a nice way to fill it.

  • That’s great to hear. I’ll wait to order till the details are officially announced. Maybe I’ll hold out in case they offer any bonuses, but if not I’ll certainly import this.

  • J M

I have only one response to that:

  • I don’t know the reason, but PS3s were listed on Amazon earlier at $39.99. I took it as a sign that I need to import Arcana Hearts 3.

    • OneOkami

That was really Target and not Amazon.

  • RagnaXBL

    Arcsys why so godlike?

    • Because they’re Arc System Works. Don’t think they’ve managed to disappoint me yet!

And I just imported last week! Lol.
    But YAY!

  • OneOkami

In the lack of any official U.S. announcement, I may just import this version. Here’s hoping for a Limited/Fan edition like BlazBlue: Continuum Shift.

    • Code

That’s just about where I’m at, with no official US announcement I might just import Japanese (or UK version) and save myself some trouble. But I’ll likely hold out a little bit to give them a chance/hear back how it is.

  • Don’t bother asking about HMV’s labeling section. The HMV store in my town is a mess when it comes to anime and martial arts.

Hell I bet 99% of the staff have no clue what this is about and would guess that it’s a roamntic tale of witches.

Anyway I’m quite surprise they have decided to take pre-orders for this. Usually they don’t bother with niche games.

  • Darkrise

*jaw drops* I-Is is real? I just ordered the jp ver… Oh well my wallet’s willing to take another beating.

  • Well, if Aksys Games won’t localize AH3 themselves, I can at least import it from pQube, since they will more or less translate it.

  • BadenBadenPrinny

Crap, too late for me. I ordered it last week :(

  • It’s only… £17.99?? That’s too good to be true..

  • very good game

  • TrevHead

Well I suppose PC gamers get to play this aswell ps3 as the Taito Type X arcade version has been hacked and is up on share sites. Not that ive any intrest in playing a fighter with no online multiplayer

  • Oh HMV… Still, I’m still not sure if I want this game or not. Knowing me, I’ll end up playing it anyway.

Just here to tell that Zen United’s confirming that they’re releasing Arcana Heart 3, but the date’s not confirmed yet :3
