Hatsune Miku Bundles Up For Winter With More Modules

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2nd on the PSP is celebrating two events in the near future. The first is the annual Sapporo Snow Festival (being held for the 62nd time this year), which runs from Jan 27th through Feb 13th at Sapporo, Japan.

The Sapporo Snow Festival takes place at Sapporo, the largest city on the island of Hokkaido every year, and features snow statues built with motifs of places around the world. The event is held in cooperation with Japan’s Self Defense Force, members of which built the festival’s very first massive snow sculpture in 1955. The festival also hosts events like snow slides and mazes, and tends to attract a lot of tourists to the area.

In honour of the festival, Sega are outfitting Vocaloid star, Hatsune Miku, with her usual Snow Miku winter costume for 300 yen over the PlayStation Network on Jan 27th. You can view a full-body image here. Sega released one of these back in 2010 as well. Here’s a quick comparison of the two outfits (2010 on the left):

Meanwhile, also coming up is pink-haired Vocaloid beauty Megurine Luka’s birthday. In celebration of this, Sega are releasing a Luka witch costume, also for 300 yen, on January 30th. Here’s a look:

Also coming in celebration of Luka’s birthday are digital room items. These go for 100 yen each. Sega are offering items like banners, virtual shelf figurines and a poster.

Here’s a clearer look at that poster, and another shot of the Witch:

  • That witch costume is all kinds of sexy. ^_^ Love you Luka!

  • krokounleashed

Funny, the witch costume looks exactly like the one bayonetta can have.

  • I love the YukiMiku module…… stop tempting me with goodies SEGA! I don’t wan’t to go through the hassle of an JPN PSN account

Also I bought the upcoming nendoroid of it :’D Farewell my money!

    • Kai2591

Wait, you mean you have pre-ordered the new Nendoroid Yuki Miku???? HOW????

      • Well, sorta. It WILL be available for pre-order at Good Smile Company’s official site from Feb 7 to Feb 13, but the store does not ship overseas, so I am buying through a deputy site. It’s expensive, but it’s the only way .___. Unless you have someone in Japan to buy it for you.

        • Kai2591

I see..yeah, I know about the GSC site and all, but too bad they don’t ship overseas…
So can you tell me about this ‘deputy site’ please?

          • Here is a guide on what deputy sites are: http://ofurotaimu.dreamwidth.org/93307.html

I’m not too sure what the best one in this case would be, I commented on this post as “stephieku” so you can see my thoughts on ones I’ve used in the past. I’m using FromJapan for this order, but this is a first for me, so I do not know how their service is like.

          • Kai2591

Thanks, shirokiryuu. This is a great help, and I’ll be researching in that link :)

          • BTA

I’ve also ordered one. I’m using TokyoHunter, just like I used for the original Snow Miku. I planned to use Yokatta this time, but they had taken all the orders they could fill before I contacted them.

  • ZomaNeko

Am I the only one who actually prefers to play every song (even non Miku song) with just Miku’s default costume? x:

  • PrinceHeir

    Miku and Luka FTW :)
