Help Choose The Radiant Historia Piano Selection Packaging

By Spencer . January 20, 2011 . 2:01pm

Radiant Historia, Atlus’ time-twisting Nintendo DS RPG, comes with a piano selection CD by composer Yoko Shimomura as a bonus. That was Atlus’ decision. The design of the CD art and slip its packaged in is yours.

These are the two choices:

For reference, here’s the US box art for Radiant Historia. It’s pretty similar to the second design so I’m leaning towards the storybook layout. Vote for your favorite here.

Radiant Historia comes out on February 22 in North America.

The first disk is to bland…. gotta give it to the colorful disk ^^ I like my pretty disks lol

Wow. I really like the storybook one! (First) Gives a really classy feeling + more new art.

Woah, the first one makes it looks pretty premiun xD

Another case of me wishing we could pick individual parts. I like the CD slip of the second image, but I like the CD art of the first one. I’m not diggin’ the frame style, probably because the frame is taking up most of the space. I voted for the design for the second picture. You see the CD slip more often than the CD itself, after all.

I’d remove the square/rectangular frame of the first one, expand the circular inner frame instead so to leave more space for the central picture and enable us to better read the welcoming text upon it while also taking the first CD’s artwork instead.

It’s simple, and it’s elegant. The character-crammed version on the lower one is an eyeful, but that in itself is also it’s weakness. It’s an eyeful, not quite as easily memorable as the first which is, itself, quite beautiful.

I want the top CD picture and the bottom slip picture. I really like the look of that character, and its simple yet beautiful. Top slip has the middle picture too small though. If it would widen, I would take the top picture hands down.

  • Zero_Destiny

That’s SO cool, yay for Atlus!!! I voted for the top pic, it just seems “classier”. Both designs are nice though and I love Atlus’ bigger-ish cardboard boxes for their DS games like YS I&II and Super Robot Taisen. XD

This may sound strange, but so far I’ve voted 150 times for the bottom image.

And little things like this, a strong localization, and fan appreciation are why Atlus owns my soul….and wallet.

Tough choice. The top has the better Album cover slip while the bottom has the better CD art. Eh I guess it dosen’t matter for me which one is chosen then.

  • PrinceHeir

the 2nd one is much closer to the original boxart but i always want OST to have different art just so it can stand on it’s own. so yeah the 1st one :P
