Samurai Warriors: Chronicles Has Downloadable Stages

New to the series, Samurai Warriors: Chronicles focuses on letting the player create their own character to fight through the Warring States period. In addition, you can choose from 40 other famed warriors from the period to assist you.

A healthy selection of characters is nice, considering that Chronicles lets you create a party of four and switch between characters at any time during combat. You also need to build your level of friendship with characters you come across, which allows you to experience different additional events within the game’s story.

Chronicles will also have downloadable stages after release, according to Tecmo Koei. The 3DS game will also let you battle opponents through local wireless play, which allows you to unlock new weapons and items.

  • Might just wait hopefully for a Sengoku Basara Portable game.

Well there’s Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes for PSP

  • I’m impressed this is PEGI rated and thus a PAL region trailer. No PAL date yet, but I see this as a sign of TecmoKoei speeding up their localisation process.

  • The branching paths is intriguing.
