Another Look At Dead or Alive: Dimensions’ Metroid Stage

Dead or Alive: Dimensions on the Nintendo 3DS is developed by Team Ninja, who also, jointly with Nintendo, developed Metroid: Other M on the Wii. Thanks to this close partnership, Team Ninja’s upcoming fighting game has a Metroid: Other M bonus stage in it.

Metroid series antagonist, the seemingly-immortal, but always cute and cuddly Pterodactyl, Ridley, is present in the stage, too, as an on-site hazard. He’ll be administering the same treatment as he did to Other M players, to anyone unlucky enough to get caught up in his claws.

Luckily, Metroid’s Samus Aran appears in the stage as an assist character to help you out. Here’s a clearer look at the stage (and Ridley’s antics):

I would love to see 3DS Metroid using M:OM assets.

I still have the feeling that theres more than their declarations denote about Samus status on the game. Yeah I know that Yosuke Hayashi has said that she is not going to be playable, but still I think that theres something fishy.

Still this M:OM stage looks that could be really fun and challenging.

“cute and cuddly?” Dude, I didn’t even think his first form “Little Birdy” was cute and cuddly.

After several blasts to the face? sure. But before that he’s a angry, stubborn and a jerk of a Pterodactyl.
