Europeans, rejoice! Ys: The Oath in Felghana is now up on the PlayStation Network in PAL territories. You might be thinking it took long enough (and it certainly did), but the good news is, Ys I & II Chronicles won’t suffer the same time lag. On their Facebook page, Xseed posted:

To our friends in Europe — You may have already noticed, but Ys: The Oath in Felghana is now ready for download from the European PSN store. Once again it’s quite a bit later than the North American release, but we’re getting better — Ys I & II Chronicles is scheduled for release the same week as the North American release.

Ys I & II Chronicles is due for release on February 22nd. Pre-ordering the game from Gamestop will net you one of three bonus items of your choice.

Nyeh, this is really tempting… definitely looks like a better remake than the DS one.

I have a love-hate relationship with PSN. Sure it’s getting a lot of interesting stuff. But most of the interesting stuff stays in the USA. As such, many of the games that really interest me I have bought from the american store, but it’s quite uncomfortable and expensive, since I have to get prepaid cards to do so…

… of course, buying stuff from the european PSN would be much easier for me, but since I already have so many games from the american store, and the PSP can’t be used with more than one account at a time, I can’t download them without deactivating all my other games, which makes it even more of an inconvenience.

So it ends up with me not buying any game from the european PSN because I can’t dectivate all the others, and not buying many games form the american PSN because it’s expensive. This sucks. With the NGP, Sony better drop the ball and make it compatible with multiple accounts, like the PS3.

Tsk. Again, Euro-gamers won’t be able to find a physical copy of Ys.

Thank god PSP is region free.

  • Good for Europe :D
