The UnderGarden Blooms On PlayStation Network

Atari have a new game out on the PlayStation Network today, titled The UnderGarden. A combination of exploration and puzzle-solving, The UnderGarden has you start out in an eerie-looking underground world with strange life forms.

When you first enter the world of The UnderGarden, you won’t see much life. It’s your job to change this, by collecting pollen and planting flowers. Flowers add colour and musical melodies to the world. They also bear fruit, which you can use for solving various environment puzzles.

The PlayStation blog has a nice write-up of the game by developer, Vitamin-G, which should give you a good idea of the kind of game this is. You can grab The UnderGarden off the PlayStation Store for $9.99. The game is also available on Xbox Live (800 Microsoft points) and PC via digital download ($9.99).

Only thing I remember about this game was that I had to download the demo for the sweepstakes on Steam during Christmas, and it would make my PC auto-reboot every time I tried playing. Needless to say, i eventually just said eff this, and deleted it.

    Atari is still alive?

Weird joke, considering they’ve been making quite a few games already…

      Where’ve you been?

  • Played this on the 360. Loved it, but not 10$ loved it. Will definitely buy it when it drops to 5$.

Glad to see my PSBros getting some love too. Hopefully the sells over there will be decent.

      5$ is an achievable goal.

If it gets the Playstation Plus treatment, that means it’ll probably drop anywhere between 10 to 50% off. And then there’s the special sales that occurs relatively frequently which could also knock it down a bit.

Just gotta keep an eye open on deals. Hope you’ll enjoy the game when you get it for those 5$.

For some reason, it reminds me of Soul Bubbles for NDS. I’ll have to give this game a try. :3
