Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll Gets A Launch Trailer And A Second Demo

Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll has a new launch trailer, courtesy of Koei, that does a great job of summing up just what the game is about and how it plays. If you haven’t been keeping up with news of Trinity, this is a good way of getting caught up.

Alternatively, there’s a second demo for Souls of Zill O’ll live on the U.S. PlayStation Network now, too, if you’re keen on trying it out. The Omega Force RPG is due for release on February 8th in the U.S. and February 11th in Europe.

  • The trailer is pretty intriguing and such, and well at times jaw dropping. Im not expecting much of GOTY material, but it looks awesome anyway. So I will add it to my list of games to get in February!

  • Just love how they thought “no one cares about the big guy so only show 3-5 seconds of him on his own”

Unique abilities? What kicking ass slightly differently? Okay then ¬_¬

The story looks like the only reason to give this medicore looking game a chance. But I’ll wait until it’s cheap before I give it a playthrough.

When was there a 1st trailer on the US PSN? Isn’t this the same “1st” demo on JP PSN?

I’ve played both Japanese demos and i thought the gameplay was fun.
But really, the graphic filter implementation was terrible and it really hurt my eyes…Because of it i don’t think i would be able to play the game for more than 2 hours continually. It would’ve been nice if there was an option to turn it off.
I will definitely try the US demo though,it will be nice to finally understand what they are saying.:)

Haha, I remember seeing screenshots of the game and thinking it just had poor graphics. Then I played the demos and I know exactly what you mean. I guess they went for an effect of the game looking like it’s on an old scroll or something?

      • badmoogle

I think they tried to achieve something similar to the style of the first Valkyria Chronicles but unfortunately they weren’t so successful…
Which is a shame really because otherwise the art direction is good (except maybe the generic characters.)The forest section in particular from the first demo would have looked beautiful if it wasn’t the damn filter.:(

Are you sure you can’t turn it off? I heard that you could.

      • badmoogle

Well you couldn’t turn it off in the demo…:/But i sure hope so because otherwise the game seems good.

Love the Japanese demos. Seems like s solid old-school rpg. I have this pre-ordered.

  • I played it yesterday and I want to see how the weapon work out but never got to lol.

  • Pretty mediocre game. I played the short 135MB demo and already found grammar errors including entire word omissions.

does anyone even care about Tecmo Koei anymore, outside of DoA and Ninja Gaiden?
