A Glimpse Of Your House In Rune Factory Oceans

By Ishaan . February 7, 2011 . 4:32pm

We’ve seen a lot of Rune Factory Oceans characters and outdoor areas, but something we haven’t seen much of is what your house looks like. Considering your home is where you’ll spend a lot of your time, this seems like an important detail.

While it isn’t exactly the grandest of reveals, Inside Games have a couple screenshots of your humble abode in Oceans. Up above in the middle appears to be the kitchen.  The screenshot below appears to be where you’ll perform your alchemy.

Finally, the area toward the back-left corner in both images looks like the forge, where you’ll create your tools and combat equipment. You can head to Inside Games to view a few more screens, including one of the clinic.

And right of center appears to be altar upon which you’ll perform the baby-making ceremony.

Still waiting on the pics of the dingy apartment where you put the kept woman from the sea ceremony.

    • malek86

Are you sure it’s not the altar upon which you’ll perform the baby-sacrificing ceremony?

… you can do that in the game, right? Right?

      • M’iau M’iaut

Not enough blood on the walls or red candles for us to be looking at that. And he’s not wearing his goat mask.

        • omg what have you been reading lately victorique?!

          • M’iau M’iaut

            Gosick stuff.

            @ Ren Nods yup.

          • Ohoo! So that is why you knew kujo would go that day to the library uh??! now i know why you always know what will happen.

          • Ren

Is that supposed to be a double pun?

        • malek86

Maybe you can buy those decorations for your house later.

If there’s one thing Shadow Man has taught us, is that you can sacrifice a hundred small, head-like things in order to increase your life force. I expect to be able to do the same thing here. I mean, what else am I supposed to do with a baby in a RPG?

  • Zero_Destiny

The game looks really pretty for a Wii game. Even if these are the scans from the upscaled PS3 version it’s still Wii graphics. It looks really nice. I hope the boy chara has a big bed because … heheheheh I’m always tired after a hard day of farming. lol

    • It does look a lot like rune factory frontier (that already looked pretty cool for the wii).

And you normally can buy a bigger bed later on the game >83

      • M’iau M’iaut

Well the crib is there too. So something non E+10 must be a happenin!

    • jarrodand

Neverland a master at doing more with less, Lufia 2 on DS looks unreal for the system and RF Frontier was already one of the best looking Wii RPGs. It’s a shame their Wii Shining Force game was canceled…

  • HarryHodd

Nice house. If I marry someone will they move in with me?

  • It says SKILL UP, so that means the game is coming out in English?! I so can not wait for the PS3 version!

    • Ren

I’m not saying it’s not coming out in English, since Natsume has a great track record altough a bit late, but English in a japanese game is no reason to deduce that. A lot of Japanese games have English or Engrish like menus or options or notifications.

      • andref

Oh and don’t forget they sometimes use phrases or simple words that appear to be in English

      • puchinri

Natsume localized all of the RF titles except Frontier right? (I’m seriously hoping they nab this before Natsume does.)

        • Ren

          • Zero_Destiny

Probably XSEED they were the ones to localize Frontier. At least I think they did I never played it. *googles it*. Yeah they did. I’d guess he’s hoping for XSEED to pick it up then.

          • lostinblue

The partnership thing between xseed and marvelous is no more.

Trust me, it’ll come through Natsume

          • puchinri

Oh, my bad. I don’t know why Xseed wasn’t in there.

    • Sorry to burst your bubble but… a lot of jap games has english on them.

Still, this one has more chance to come than those other games

  • Roanoke834

Glad to see they’re using the Frontier crafting system. I like being able to control my crafting results. RF3’s crafting system cost me a lot of cooking ingredients….

  • PrinceHeir

now if they can let us see our Maid Cafe and Swimming Pool i would be sooo happy :P

    • M’iau M’iaut

So Prince, have you started that 50,000 name petition with Natsume to get more meido in this game?

      • Zero_Destiny

If he did I’m in. Just so long as some of those meidos wear nekomimi. :P

        • M’iau M’iaut

That would be two of the major food groups! Throw some glasses on, give em twin tails and you got a well balanced meal.

          • Zero_Destiny

            Yummy XD

          • Kai2591

I’d faint from over consumption of moe

          • PrinceHeir

well you can always throw lolita costume and we will have a grand party ^^

            damn valentine’s is coming :D

          • M’iau M’iaut

That would make it a damn buffet! Alrighty Marvelous, we want to eat!

  • With so much to do, maybe it’s time I just decided to not bother with the farming when it comes to playing the next Rune Factory game I get my hands on.

    • Phlo

If it’s anything like Rune Factory Frontier, you’ll end up having to do a bit of farming in order to provide material for whatever else you’re doing, anyway. One of my favorite things about that game.

  • The only thing why i really want to play this game is because the theme is ocean, i love playing games with beautiful views.
i’m so looking forward to this game……..in english.
