Night of the Sacrifice Box Art Looks Like A Japanese Horror Movie

Night of the Sacrifice is the kind of game that comes across as not just creepy, but rather unsettling. It’s the kind of game we don’t see much of at all nowadays, and if you consider the fact that it’s controlled using the Wii Remote and Balance Board, it’s the kind of game you never see at all.

The box art for the game looks incredible, too. The colours and the black Wii bar (all games rated CERO “C” and above in Japan have this ) all come together rather nicely for a simple but interesting cover that gives off a very Japanese horror film vibe.

Marvelous have Night of the Sacrifice scheduled for release on March 24th in Japan. While we wait for the next trailer to roll around, you can find four new screenshots for the game at Inside Games.

Pretty cool. Balance board required? I refuse to buy Wii Fit to play this.

    • malek86

I’m not sure it’s actually required though.

The black Wii box looks hot!

Is the balance board mandatory in order to play the game?If it is then my interest just dropped to zero.
    Nice cover though.

I was wondering about the same thing too, never needed/wanted to get a Wii balance board and don’t want to do it for just this one game, even Super Monkey Ball sucks I heard.. I almost bite when the Wii Fit bundle was on sale the last Thanksgiving.. but I have Kinect Fitness alrdy which doesn’t need a board.

Balance board is not required. Honestly people asking a question is one thing but the way people seem to jump on negativity so quickly is insane.

      Who is jumping on negativity???

The box art does nothing for me but then I’m not a survival horror fan.

pointless post is pointless? Is the Tsuna guy rubbing off of ya?

      • http://twitter.com/gabriel_may_uk Gabriel May

Well if that’s the case I guess I’d rather have it be an enthusatic person then a troll ^_^

Seriously though how is responding to “The box art for the game looks incredible, too.” a pointless post? I’m simply saying a) I don’t see why the box art is incredible and b) perhaps because I’m not a gaming horror fan in general that I can’t see why.

        Simple as.

I guess my point was if you’re not even a survival horror fan, why are you looking at this thread to begin with and then posting your disinterest? I guess it’s the opposite of what SuperpositivedayoneTsuna does but the same sorta annoying result…

Because the tagline for the story was “Night of the Sacrifice Box Art Looks Like A Japanese Horror Movie” and so I wanted to see if the box art was impressive. It was not, I saw the line “The box art for the game looks incredible, too.” and decided to comment on it and state why the reason why.

Really if you find my (and any comments) “pointless” the best thing to do is ignore them rather then promote them ^_^

Yea, the kanji and katakana title looked alright (Anata wo Yurusanai had more of an impact though), but the cover is so-so to me.. I’m too chicken to play this anyway, so… and you need to read YuYu Hakusho, that’s the granddaddy of fighting manga like Dragonball :)!

Pretty cool, I love Japanese horror stuff the timing is so unexpected it actually makes you scared :). The involvement of the Balance Board is quite charming.

The box art looks amazing even though a survival horror fan. Maybe it’s the artist in me.

  • vadde939

I wish they’d expand the black bar on ‘mature’ Wii and 3DS games to other countries too. It looks really nice.

  • Day2Day

Kinda reminds me of something you’d see out of Higurashi…

  • PrinceHeir

i miss these kind of creepy boxarts :D

i remember there was a silent hill limited edition(i don’t remember what number is) basically the LE is one of those bloodpacks in the hospital. pretty creepy actually O_O

We will NEVER get box-art as classy as this.

Does this REQUIRE the balance board? I’d buy this game for sure it if it was optional.
