New LovePlus Arcade Games To Be Compatible With LovePlus On 3DS

Konami are rolling out two new LovePlus arcade games in the near future, both of which will be exhibited at the upcoming AOU 2011 Amusement Expo from Feb 18th through 19th. Let’s take a look at what they’re like.

LovePlus Arcade ColorfulClip:

This is an arcade game that offers a variety of minigames that play out like a date with your LovePlus girlfriend, with activities like Suikawari and Daruma-san ga Koronda.

While you’re out on  date, you can snap pictures of your LovePlus girlfriend as if you were actually out together. The machine also comes with a built-in printer that lets you print out and take a commemorative postcard with you as a memory of your date.

LovePlus Medal Happy Daily Life:

LovePlus Medal Happy Daily Life combines puzzle and board game elements. While you play the game, you’ll have a 3D image of a LovePlus girl in the corner of the screen. To quote Konami, “directly touching the 3D character elicits a plethora of reactions, allowing players to enjoy a fresh scope of interaction like never before.” You’ll also be able to converse with her.

Both LovePlus arcade games are compatible with the current LovePlus on Nintendo DS, and will also be compatible with Project LovePlus on the 3DS. Konami say the connectivity features will allow you to “continue some of your dates” on the DS devices.

LovePlus Arcade ColorfulClip and LovePlus Medal Happy Daily Life are slated to launch in Japanese arcades in late February. Below are pictures of the two arcade cabinets, with Arcade Colorful Clip on the left and Medal Happy Daily Life on the right.

  • FireCouch

Can new opponents enter the ring?

  • Dimentionalist

Is it wrong for me to actually want to play this in localized form?

    • Suicunesol

Not at all, considering you won’t be able to play the Japanese version without a Japanese 3DS.

      • GVmanX

I’m sure the 3D effects for the game will be… interesting…

    • No, I’d kind of like to see Love Plus on 3DS come out here as well. The video I saw actually seemed like one of the more impressive demos to me.

  • The guy who married one of the girls in the previous love plus now whants the divorce D:

  • Suicunesol

Love Plus interests me, but I don’t think I want to be caught playing it in an arcade. :p

    • If I ever go back to Japan and see one of these arcade machines, I’ll say to “Yep” to myself, and find some other game to play, like Deathsmiles or Project Diva Arcade if I can find either.

      • Guest

No you would play it and you would dance while playing it. Fist pumping

  • Konami: Accelerating the Japanese population decline one game at a time

  • Talk about overkill…

  • They should put this machines in a more private room…

    • Is my room private enough?~

      • Haha, can you imagine people buying one of these things only to put them on their houses and be able to play more comfortably

        • If we talk about hardcore LovePlus otakus, then I sure can imagine that, would be a bit too hardcore for me though, I stick to the original game xD

  • PrinceHeir

expect some gooey stuff on the joystiqs and marks on the screen :D

  • shion16

who could be so lame to play this in an arcade room?
“Hi dude why dont some street fighter matches?”
“No thanks im having a date in love plus”

    • I can totally see that happening xD

    • You should see [email protected] the arcade version. It involves a lot of touching and ronery heart to heart conversations. Yeah

    • Haha, I think it would bring so much embarrassment! It’s like taking a secret relationship to the next level. Imagine being caught cheating at the arcade by your girlfriend, only to for her to find that you’re breaking virtual watermelon at a virtual festival with your virtual girlfriend.

  • Trying to dethrone [email protected], I see, Konami

  • gatotsu911

Welp, now we know the truth: Konami is raising an otaku army to take down Japan. Seriously, has anyone screened these damn games for subliminal messages?

  • JustaGenericUser

    Oh Japan, you… Japanese, you.

  • BadenBadenPrinny

Wait until the Yandere edition comes out. Then we’re all screwed

  • “directly touching the 3D character elicits a plethora of reactions, allowing players to enjoy a fresh scope of interaction like never before.”

if the character has real human height … that will be amazing …
