By Ishaan . March 3, 2011 . 12:08pm

Xseed are running another pre-order promotion, this time for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. The limited edition package of Trails in the Sky comes in two versions: a regular version for $29.99, and a limited edition with a soundtrack CD, 13 x 19.5 inch poster, and a replica Bracer Guild badge for $39.99.

Pre-ordering the limited edition at Amazon or Gamestop the U.S. before March 10th will make you eligible to receive one of the following items of your choice from Xseed:

1. Ys Seven soundtrack CD (as included in the LE version of Ys Seven)

2. Ys: The Oath in Felghana soundtrack CD (as included in the LE version of Felghana)

3. Ys Art Book (as included in the LE version of Ys Seven)

4. Ys Cloth Map (as included in the LE version of Ys Seven)

5. Ys 2011 Calendar (as included in the LE version of Ys Felghana)

6. Lunar: Silver Star Harmony Soundtrack CD (as included in the LE version of Lunar)

In order to avail the offer, you’ll need to forward a copy of your pre-order confirmation/receipt to support@xseedgames.com along with your mailing address. If you’ve already pre-ordered the game, you can forward them your confirmation/info right away.

I’ve already preordered, but with Amazon, it doesn’t take the money from your account until you receive the game(I think.) So shouldn’t XSeed wait until after the preorder is released?

    • PurpleDoom

I think an order confirmation would probably do the trick. They just need to know that you ordered, right?

It says Amazon too, so who cares about those details ;D, at least, im sure i wont cancel it

Just asked for YS’s art book *drolls* let’s hope everything goes well

  • Hraesvelgr

I like that XSeed does this sort of thing, but I own all of these except for the Lunar one and I don’t care about Lunar, so… guess I won’t take part in it. They can take my money all they want with Trails in the Sky, though.

OK i never done any of this stuff before! Anyone wanna help me? :D
EDIT: I already payed full price. What else do I do now?

    • PurpleDoom

I’m not sure how it works with a physical GameStop store, but if you ordered from gamestop.com or amazon.com then all you need to do is forward your order information and house address to support@xseedgames.com, as well as the item you pick (the options are listed in the main post.) Once you do that, you’re set.

oh man that sucks! I was hoping to get the calendar!!! Well since i know some people at the Gamestop store where i live maybe i could ask them about it.

“The limited edition package of Trails in the Sky comes in two versions:”

I assume that means “Trails in the Sky comes in two versions…” The $29.99 one isn’t a limited edition package.

Guess it’s a nice gesture to the fans that helps get rid of excess overstock of LE items, but not a big deal to me since I’ve bought all of the Ys LEs anyway. Guess I could get the Lunar soundtrack, but it’s not that big of a deal to me.

I’d gladly pay extra for a pre-order bonus that provided a confirmation of a Zero no Kiseki localization though! Here’s hoping the wait between Trails 1 and 2 (and then 2 and 3) isn’t too long, and that there’s more Falcom goodness coming after that…

    • Ladius

I swear, this is my biggest gaming concern right now :

Not only we need to see the complete Trails trilogy, but after that we have Zero no Kiseki AND the new Trails game that will be out in Japan during this year, plus Ys vs Sora no Kiseki. I really, really hope XSeed can do it without ending up bankrupt, but with the current situation of PSP and the coming of PSP2NGP I can see hope only in publishing upcoming games on both UMD and NGP cards (and PSN, even if Trails 2 seems to have issues in that department…).

Let’s hope for the best, and spread the word regarding Trails’quality.

well despite the NGP’s release this year, I don’t think the PSP is completely done for. If you remember the PS2 really hit a high note in the first 2 years or so after the PS3′s launch. During that time a lot of smaller more niche companies made decent sales of their titles as the price of entry into the PS2 was a lot lower. If Sony embraces a similar style of release with the PSP/NGP, we could see this back catalog of games just making it over from Japan succeed, fueled by the PSP hopefully hitting the ‘sweet spot’ pricing of 99$ when the NGP launches.

        • Ladius

You are totally right about Ps2′s longevity, but you must also consider that Ps2 was the leader of its generation, while Psp is the lowest selling console in the western markets right now (in Japan luckily the situation is quite different).

PSP may stay viable for the jrpg niche until 2012 because of Square-Enix’s massive lineup, Atlus’ P2 IS, XSeed’s Falcom output and NiSA’s games (even if I’m not sure we will see other Psp titles from them after Phantom Brave), but I highly doubt that in 2013 the american market will be profitable for Psp jrpgs, and seeing how the Trails games take great amount of times to be localized I don’t think we can hope to have SC, the Third and Zero out by the end of 2012, not to mention the new Trails game.

          • kupomogli

There has been more PSPs sold than 360s or PS3s. According to VGChartz, which is more of an estimate, in US only, the PSP has outsold only the PS3, missing the 360 by almost 10 million. In PAL regions, it’s outsold both the 360 and the PS3. In Japan it’s outsold everything but the DS.

So yeah. It’s not the lowest selling, though due to the amount of piracy it has, it is when it comes to selling software.

Aw, I already preordered but with Videogamesplus, but since I’m european I guess I wouldnt get anything anyway XD oh well

  • WonderSteve

I god damn hate any US only bonus.

Thank god I have the LE edition for all the games above.

  • Fonic

Hmmm, already have all these so I wonder if I should get a duplicate of any of them or just pass…Do you need to forward the confirmation before March 10th or just have pre-ordered by then?

Regardless, really looking forward to getting the game.

  • FX102A

Already have all those goodies and preordered my LE Trails in the Sky (by accident when I decided to test the 1-click buy function on Amazon; but I took that as destiny and let it run). Wouldn’t mind ordering a spare, possibly the map as I don’t want to take mine out of the bag. I also felt like keeping the calender sealed. Of all however, I think the Art Book was the best.

  • kupomogli

So what bonus did everyone choose? I already own all the premium editions for everything listed, but I chose the Oath in Felghana soundtrack CD. I probably should have got map of Ys. It’d look really cool framed.

  • d19xx

    T.I.T.S. is gonna be awesome!

  • Phoenix_Apollo

I feel bad that I can’t preorder this, but at least I’ll still get the game around launch. I’d love these extra goodies, but maybe some other time I guess.

  • Draparde

zomg. im so gonna get that cloth map o.o

  • RPGRocker

    XSeed and TitS.

Two (or three?) of my favorite things.

  • rock1644

I am so glad I decided to pre-order this. I think I’ll get the Lunar Soundtrack.

  • Draparde

i just preordered T.I.T.S. today…(at the store)…i wonder how i choose D: maybe take a picture of my reciept and send it to them :D

  • PrinceHeir

awesome goodies, too bad i have soo many i need to buy :P

  • http://twitter.com/gabriel_may_uk Gabriel May

Oh for the love of God…for the last time, HE’S TRYING TO SAY YOU’RE A TSUNDERE!

  • http://twitter.com/Triplicitrine Triplicity/3LeafIvy

Yes, Xseed, we still like you.

    Oh wait, wrong company.
