Dead or Alive: Dimensions 3DS Bundle Pops Up At Gamestop [Update]

By Ishaan . March 8, 2011 . 1:53am

Dead or Alive: Dimensions doesn’t have an “official” release date, but Gamestop have it listed for a March 27th release…as part of a Nintendo 3DS bundle. In addition to the system and the game, the bundle also contains a pouch that can be used to carry a 3DS/DS Lite/DS (phat) and two cartridges.

As always, we wouldn’t take Gamestop’s listing to mean that Dimensions will be a launch day game, but rather as an indicator that such a bundle will be available at some point in time. As of now, the bundle is only listed for the Aqua Blue 3DS.

Dead or Alive: Dimensions is a chronicling of the first four Dead or Alive games with added story events and scenes.  The game’s combat is a mix of elements from Dead or Alive 3 and Dead or Alive 4.

Update: Gamestop are also offering bundles for Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (blue and black) and Samurai Warriors: Chronicles (black).

  • Hope it’s soon if not I’ll end up getting Street Fighter!

  • Weird choice of games for a bundle especially for a handheld… But I gotta say that DoA game is really tempting me, I remember the reason I bought a 360 for was DoA4.. Hehe. (Which I don’t have anymore :()

  • $300? ._. Here our Gamestop wannabe store is asking for $500 just for the system saying that´s Nintendo´s offical price for our country … !”)?#/b”#=)$ !!!!! >:(

    • Soma

Yikes! That’s pretty steep. Where do you live?
I would suggest importing, but I’m hearing that the 3DS will not be region free like the current DS system.

      • Im from Mexico, and its not the first time they do this. When the Wii launched, you could get it by paying the double of its original price =S … And then the companies wonder why in latin america the piracy is strong

        • Soma

Ah, yes. I know what you mean. I have family in South America and they tell me the pricing is similar to Mexico. Games are so expensive, so most people resort to piracy.
Does it work out to be any less expensive if you buy from the US?

          • I guess that will be the only option if i want it this year :( , eventually if i order it from an online store ill have to pay some taxes when it arrives but it will be nothing compared to this:

So expensive. Does ship to Mexico?

          • ( Uhm i couldnt reply to your last comment o.o; ) I´ve purchased books and other non electronic/videogame stuff from Amazon, ill have to check if its possible :)

Both Gamestop and Amazon are currently listing DoA Dimensions as a May release, so unless there’s an official announcement that DoA is coming in March I’d be wary of preordering this bundle and expecting everything to be available at DS launch.

Street Fighter and Samurai Warriors will be available at launch though.

  • Arg…I’m not a fan of the 3DS price point, but this is really tempting me here, seeing as Dimensions is the only 3DS game that I want so far…

I might just have to bite on this one.

Not really related, but I just preordered the 3DS. I didn’t actually want to (no games and high price…), but one big chain was making a pretty nice offer, pre-selling the console for just 180 euro if you bring two used games from their list.

I do have a couple games lying around I could frankly get rid of, so it’s a pretty decent deal, and probably a lower price than I’ll be able to get it for, at least for a year and half, anyway.

I want Samurai Warriors: Chronicles, but I want an Aqua Blue 3DS. What to do…

  • KyoyaHibari

Thus would actually be of the only reasons for me to get 3DS right now

*This would be 1, that and SWC
